The Fat Head pizza is a great idea, but if you don't get to it, you can just eat the toppings off the pizza from your favorite place. I did that couple of weeks ago, with a nice salad, and it worked very well. I'm also at the point, two months into keto, that I really don't have cravings anymore.

Welcome. When I started consistently adding more fat into my diet, the cravings diminished. I do grass-fed butter, MCT oil, avocado, olive oil, lots of cheese, cream cheese, bacon, occasionally almonds, and summer sausage. I mix hwc with cream cheese to make a very high fat snack.

Yesterday I had quite a scare. While playing tennis I got heat exhaustion. I finished the match, probably pretty stupid of me, and by the time I got home, I was very weak and pretty out of it. My husband almost called 911. He iced me down and gave me V-8 to drink and I took magnesium. I just laid on the bed and cramped and…

I'm so bad at checking in. Anyways, had a good week, with the exception of no exercise one day. Log- 7/7 carbs- 7/7 exercise- 6/7 water-7/7 under calories- 7/7

I'm a couple months into keto, and I honestly don't even think about the carbs anymore. Eat the fat, don't worry about calories for now, and listen to everyone here. They know their *kitten* and won't steer you wrong. You've got this!!!
-
WooHoo!!! Next goal - 225. Take it a mini goal at a time, and before you know it, you'll be writing a success story. Enjoy the ride!!!

I'm in. I want to see how long I can go without Coke Zero.
-
I just may have had my last Coke Zero. So hard for me to give up.
-
Great progress! That's gotta make you feel good.

If you just keep going on plan, the weight loss happens. I was in a big hurry to lose at first, but then I got a month long stall. I'm so glad I persevered because I lost several inches during the stall, and then pounds started dropping again. Your body needs time to readjust to what's happening to it. I think the key is…

5/5 - Good day!!!

I can really see the difference in your pics. You are making great progress and you look awesome! Keep it up!!!

I didn't check in last week, but here's a summary of week. 1. Logged all food. 2. Stayed under calorie allotment. 3. Stayed under 30 g carbs. 4. Exercised all but Monday - not bad. 5. Missed my water consumption 2 days - stupid Coke Zero!!

I'm so hoping that when I reach my goal (32 pounds to go), that my blood glucose has tamed itself and my insulin resistance is well on the road to recovery. I'm learning as I work my way down to my goal that it's not even so much about the weight as how much better I am feeling, the abundant energy I have, the patience I…

A little late here, but would love to join your group. I've been doing lchf since June, and Keto since August. I've lost 18 pounds, averaging about a pound a week. I had several stalls for more than a month each time, and by learning to be very patient and consistent, the weight is coming off. I'm also working on lowering…

Hope your power comes on soon. What a mess for you! I live in SW FL where we were spared from Matthew. My thoughts are with you.

I just passed my 4 month mark and have lost 17.5 pounds. I found this group a couple of months ago, and can't say enough about how helpful everyone is. One of my main concerns are my BG numbers. They were down quite a bit last month and my dr. changed my meds, and now not so good. (Still a work in progress.) I have…

Don't ya love it!!! You look great!

Very smart of you to change what is making you anxious. I totally have the same reactions - especially to the scale.

Consistency, patience, and knowing I'm in it for the long haul (life) are what's key for me. SW 190.5 (6/1/16) CW 175 GW 141 Daily Goals: 1 - Log all food consumed 2 - Stay under calorie allotment 3 - Keep carbs under 30g 4 - Exercise daily 5 - Drink 64 oz water

Great progress and nice chins on all!!!

I recently heard on a keto podcast that when you are not losing and still sticking to your woe, your body is remodeling itself from the inside. I love this explanation. Every time I step on the scale and there is no loss I tell myself there is some remodeling going on. Good luck!

Aquawave, thank you for this explanation. Patience is the key here. Let the healing begin!!!

Nice progress. Keep walking and taking pics!

Roseygirl1, my doctor recently changed my T2D med from Janumet to Metformin. The Janumet had a component that raised insulin and I thought the change would be good. My FBS had been mid-90s to low 100s before the change. Now they have been 135, 127, 125, 115. They seem to be working their way back down, and I guess I'll…

SW Florida 8 years, from NW Ohio. Been low carb since the beginning of June and keto since mid-July. Down 16 lbs since June.

Thanks. Good luck to you with your lifting and bio hacking!
-
I've been trying to figure out NSV for weeks.
-
My carbs are set at 5% (17g) and my protein is at 20% (69g). I usually do a pretty good job staying pretty close.

I started lifting in July close to the same time I stated IF. I'm pretty sure the lifting slowed down my weight loss, as I did lose inches and clothing sizes since then. My recent lab work came back Tuesday, and my A1c only went from 6.1 to 6.0, so I'm thinking I must be very insulin resistant. I'm kind of hacking to see…
