I liked his post. I don't see where CICO is being disputed.... What I took from his words (and I agree with) is that from a compliance standpoint thinking "CICO" sometimes only gets you so far. We all have to be satisfied and satiated on whatever calories we have to work with, and if it's a constant struggle to feel full…

I haven't.... Since I'm averaging a little more than 2lbs/mo I've been afraid to. Sooooo afraid of overpacking on the fat! Maybe I should do that though. Thanks.

Surplus is 250 (I'm small so i don't get to eat much). I don't think I've done too terrible with the gain so far but just feel like I'm starting to struggle to keep it at the same rate.... Just don't know if I can possibly tweak something.... And I'm following strong curves with some extra upper body work tacked on.

I don't buy the candy until the actual day comes, and the last kid to come to my door gets whatever is left in the bowl. Sure...I end up eating a few pieces while giving it out, but it isn't around long enough to do any damage.

I've been on here Every. Single. Day. for.....440 days now? LOL! I'm a single mom...lost 45lbs...now trying to drop fat/build some muscle. If you need more friends feel free to add me.

I'm new to bulking, but I'd say most people have a day like that once in a while whether they're bulking/cutting or whatever. I do it too occasionally, and yeah...it's hard not eating all the foods like everyone says even when you're being given a pass to get the calories up. What keeps me in check is having no desire to…

That was prebulk. And thank you. You're looking great yourself! Everyone is! Very cool thread.

I don't know if I'll be logging forever, but as of right now I have no intension to quit. I don't think it's a horrible thing to commit to for life. It's no different than anything someone else would do to tend to their health

I love them too. Especially with some blueberries thrown in.

I bought a digital health o meter scale from Walmart and it's much more consistent than others I've had. Only cost $30 too.

I guess my question is...do you even want to exercise? It just comes off sounding like you're finding every reason in the world why it wont fly for you. Not every exercise is for everybody, but there is something everybody can find to do and enjoy. It doesn't have to cost money. It doesn't have to leave you breathless or…

Yup. It's happened to me. It took a good week to get straight again.
-
I know it's much easier said than done, but at times like that I think to myself that I can binge and binge some more, and that problem is still going to be there. Eating will solve nothing.
-
I wouldn't fast for a day, no. Depending on how much I overindulged I would either carry on as usual the next day, or maybe cut calories back for a couple days if I really went crazy.
-
It took me a good 6-7weeks to get over the initial jump in water weight I experienced and get myself evened out to where I seem to be gaining more slow and steady now. It was weird because for the first week and a half I gained nothing and then I had a huge jump. Some of that fell back off, but I did end up having to…

It sounds like you're doing just fine on your own. Congrats on having come so far! What I don't understand about the surgeons attitude is, people DO manage to gain weight even after gastric bypass. Surgery isn't the end all be all if one doesn't adhere to the aftercare needed to maintain it. It's no foolproof guarantee…

I could stand to go a bit slower too. The extra food is great and I feel so much better overall for it that I'd like it to last as long as possible. I started at 110 and figured 10lbs would just about get me through the holidays, but I'm just going to see how it plays out. If I can stand it AND I feel like I'm…

It was a typo. Sorry! And I refuse to gain any more than 2lbs/mo because, yeah....I kinda consider myself screwed due to sex and age anyway. I suppose I'm keeping my expectations a bit low, but...it is what it is, and it's gonna be what it's gonna be.
-
I've progressed, yeah. It seemed like when I was cutting those last couple pounds I could see a difference as each little bit came off, so I guess I've been expecting to look pudgy and see measurements increasing pretty quickly. As long as I know I'm on the right track it's all good.
-
I'll toss in my .02. Op, you certainly don't look worse, and yes...4mos isn't long enough to see any major changes. I also agree with a little more of a deficit. I had to get my weight down significantly lower than I ever thought I would have to in order to make a dent in those stubborn fat spots (5'4 and 109lbs which was…

Funny you mention because that's exactly what I did. LOL! Wound up buying a bar, but I got the plates off craigslist dirt cheap. Space is an issue around here, but I'm just making it all a part of my living room decor....
-
I had my maintenance calories pretty much nailed down before starting, but found that I still had to tinker a bit to get a slow even gain going. If you're in the ballpark with numbers now, I say just do it because you might find yourself having to play around a little more once you get going anyway.
-
Yes, it happened. I used to have boobs. I miss them....

Happy scale. The prediction for hitting goals doesn't seem to work well because it is basing that off of fluctuations which are constantly changing. I just go by my trending weight biweekly/monthly to get the best idea of where I'm at.

I drink crystal light and the other various sugar free drink mixes every day and I'm not dead.

You might find a few people on mfp who are doing ivf, but are you a part of the forums on resolve.org at all? When I was doing ivf I always had people there to cycle with, and it was a great help for comparing notes.

Yup. I went from a 38C to a 32B that is bordering on being an A.
