I only have small bands, so I'll pick up some larger ones. Also see what I can do about a barbell. I know I need it.... Thanks guys.
-
I might have to do that.... Money and space to store more stuff have held me back but I'm thinking I have no alternative.

I'm having trouble with hip thrusts. I workout at home and don't/won't have access to a barbell. I workout with Dumbbells and Bodylastics. I've tried this all different ways. I have to do a ridiculous amount of reps with only bodyweight. With Dumbbells...I had to use two to increase the weight which then became too…

I just go by the moving average.

I am sooooo doing this!

I felt this way too. You weigh 120 but at what height? Have you lost too much possibly? That was the case for me. I think anyway.... I dropped my weight a bit further than I originally planned because I wanted to lose enough fat to do a bulk. When I finally hit that point I felt a bit weak, irritable, and just kinda crappy…

Jumping in to ask why it's unreasonable that she's gained 6lbs? When people switch to maintenance and experience the jump on the scale everyone says "it's just water". So whats the difference in this case?

It sounds generic, but you have to just get in there and do your thing. Are a few people possibly looking at you? Yeah. But....do we ever go anywhere where there isn't someone around whose thinking something negative and just generally being an *kitten*? Nope. We can't waste time and energy worrying about stuff like that…

This! Congratulations!!!

I love tuna melts. Put tuna and a slice of cheese in a low calorie wrap, then grill it in a pan sprayed with a little Pam.

This happened to me tonight. I heated up a frozen enchilada dinner. There are two enchiladas, so I assumed the 160cals the box said was for both. No. It was PER enchilada. Duh. Can't just look at the calories.

Different situations but still stressful nonetheless. I'm a single parent, so between juggling work, raising my son, and handling my fathers affairs (he has Alzheimer's...I'm his guardian), it's been easy to let myself go. I finally decided I had to get my health in gear, so I started here a year ago and have lost 45lbs. I…

Still not seeing what's wrong with his "little bubble". He achieved the aesthetic he wanted his way. He looks great, but according to the masses....he got there the wrong way. ??????

I have to agree. People here just love jumping all over someone if they aren't subscribing to the same thought the majority has. If they can't find something to crap on they aren't happy. You're really going to criticize the method he used to get where he is? Really?????
-
I guess I'm the minority because I love the white chocolate raspberry. LOL! The cinnamon roll is really good too. My new thing is baking them and eating them as cookies.

Figuring that popcorn out is beyond irritating. I've given up and started buying kernels and popping my own in the microwave. I guess you estimation is about right though.

Those of us with pear shapes just have to accept that were always going to be heavier on the bottom. I'm 5'4 and started here a year ago at 154lbs. I had planned to maintain once I hit 125, but when I got there I still had a considerable amount of fat (and my legs were still huge). I stuck with the deficit and dropped to…

I started strong curves a month ago and also recommend giving it a try. It's a great book that teaches you how to actually get your glutes activated. I can't say I've seen a major change so far (only been a month) but I have noted the feeling when I really get those muscles working. The book does stress that results don't…

Another for donuts.

I just started trying to gain weight a month ago. This is my first time so admittedly...I know nuthin bout nuthin. LOL! But I do see already that this is going to be a matter of trial and error to a degree. I has settled on what I thought was my tdee and increased by 250 which put me at 1900cals. That being said, scoobys…

Ok. I'll play around with all of this and see what happens. Thank you!
-
Absolutely. I love all things bread/pasta/rice but they make me feel really fluffy...sap my energy...and they don't leave me feeling full like meat and veggies, so I just stick to smaller amounts.
-
Interesting.... I could never go that low on carbs though! LOL! They definitely do leave me bloated, so I've always tried to moderate them regardless what I'm doing. Too many make me sluggish as well. Protein and veggies keep me lean and satiated, but I still need my carbs. Thanks for the input. Ok.... Had to wipe a lil…

It really isn't a lot of calories! Jeez... If I have to bulk on less I'm going to be a lil sad. I'm 5'4...started at 110lbs, and am not overly active, so maybe I will have to drop lower. I'll keep monitoring it. Thanks.

Your lips/cheeks will start to toughen up (like forming a callous, only...not a callous) and you won't get tore up so bad from the braces. In the meantime just keep stocked on wax. Stringy foods like meat may have to be cut up real small or shredded so it doesn't get caught so much. You can eat eggs/omelettes, cottage…

I walk to pass time when I'm alone but I see you're limited with that. Sometimes I just invent things to do around the house to keep busy. Organizing and things like that.... I'll take a drive and walk around a store a bit to occupy myself. I've done puzzles or games online. Chatting here keeps my mind busy too. Beyond…

I use the usda data which says mine are 120cals for 86g or 1/2 cup dry. Based on that I would say what you listed first is correct. Beans are fairly calorie dense.

I've seen you post this over and over, and that's why I'm trying not to get caught up in the huge leap, (which is down 2lbs this morning btw). I'm assuming if I just pay attention to what my trending weight is I should be ok. Based on that being 2lbs up, if I hold there for another week then I'm just going to figure I…

I'm not exceeding calorie-wise. Just skewed towards more of them coming from fats... The gain is spooking me and it's making me want to pull back but I'm assuming that like you said...it's extra food/carb bloat/and having switched programs which always makes me retain water. Definitely cutting back if this keeps up.

I started mfp a year ago and have lost 45lbs and reduced my body fat to around 18-19%. I'm giving a slow bulk a shot now while following Strong Curves. My goal is to add a bit of overall mass/definition.
