  • That's just part of the fun of braces unfortunately. When I had mine I ate lots of mashed potatoes with gravy, Mac and cheese, soft pasta. You could have smoothies or milkshakes. Eggs are good too.
  • Only success story I have is it making me feel good when I have a cold.
  • I'm doing the ab work because I enjoy it. However, where he seems to keep it on the lighter side of things, I'm doing cable crunches and weighted side bends. I'm not as concerned about being wider through my waist then he feels most women are. That's just me....
  • I'm only on week 2, but I really like it so far. It definitely makes you work and although I've just begun, I can tell a difference in how I feel the exercises in areas (glutes) I really wasn't using before. One thing I'll say is to buy the actual book vs the ebook though. When you find yourself having to "flip" around to…
  • Well....I have goals set for myself, so that's what motivates me to wake up early. I'm more of a day person in general and don't have the energy or desire to workout after a full day at the office, so getting out of the way first thing is best. Also there are no excuses not to exercise. Nothing else is happening at 5am, so…
  • My ribs showed a bit at maintenance, but I'm naturally smaller on top so that's where I thinned out the most. Compared to the ribs I still had big legs and a big butt. I chose to stay at the weight I was at because my bottom half got somewhat smaller which was what I wanted. I'd rather not have the ribs, but that's the…
  • No program will make you lose weight. That's strictly diet. If you're eating at a deficit, then no...,it won't bulk you up at all. You would need excess calories for that which it sounds like you aren't doing. I've done ICF before and absolutely loved it. It's a great program.
  • You're doing great so far so just keep it up. If you're anything like me your thighs will be the last place you lose. Eventually they'll catch up. Don't get discouraged. We all have that spot that fights us.
  • I asked this last week. The thread is on the second page now, but it has some answers on it.
  • Panera salads with chicken and an apple on the side Anything greasy/cheesy Mexican with a pile of chips
  • Diet dew Diet citrus tea Monster rehab iced tea/lemonade (just cuz it tastes yummy)
  • I see this all the time. People come into my office needing dental work (some quite badly) and insist they can't afford it. Yet they tell me about the vacation they just took, have manicured nails and hair done up, cell phones and designer purses, nice car parked outside. It all comes down to what people put value on and…
  • I haven't seen your diary but it sounds like you're making a lot of good food choices, which is great. That being said, you really do have to increase those calories.... It will come back to bite you in the long run if you don't by either burning you out (it will eventually), or causing you to lose too much muscle like was…
  • I bought a glass health o meter scale at Walmart for $30. It's always consistent. Love it!
  • I was on depo for 2yrs and (just for the record) now have a mirena for 3yrs. Neither made me gain weight.
  • I'm using the happy scale iPhone app. Enter your weight daily and it will average it out for you over a week/month.... If your trend is showing 2lbs per month gained you're good to go. If not you adjust.
  • Haven't read any responses, but I think if it were so easy to simply eat until satisfied most people wouldn't need to be here.
  • Not a guy, but I do a lot of prepping ahead of time. I do make rice/pasta ahead...enough for a few days. I cook a ton of chicken/turkey burgers/bacon/chili/pancakes, ect... A bit stays in the fridge and the rest goes in freezer bags. Cut up veggies will keep in the fridge for a few days too. I put them in a Tupperware…

  • Charge hr. I personally don't think the heart rate monitor was worth the extra money. It isn't exactly accurate and it does nothing to change your earned calories. That's all based off steps which you get with a cheaper version. Besides that...I love it.
  • You have to think of it as being a means to an end. Nobody wants to gain fat, but it serves a purpose...it's temporary....and it comes back off. If people stayed fat nobody would do it, right?
  • Oh no....I didn't find anything special with Fitbit as far as maintenance. Honestly, I didn't pay attention to it that closely but rather found my maintenance number on my own. I didn't trust anything when it came to me gaining any of the weight back, so I really didn't notice that Fitbit didn't change. I WAS interested to…
  • Yeah...that's what I'm going to do. I think I pushed a little too far with leaning out, and have to put a few lbs back on regardless. Just gonna wing it and see what happens.
  • I was wondering about this too. I've had in my mind to gain 10lbs, but when considering that initial jump on the scale I didn't know if I'm looking at more like 13-14lbs when taking that into consideration.... Meaning if it's just water to begin with.
  • What you both say makes perfect sense. Seems like it doesn't matter whether Fitbit is set to maintain or gain though, because it changes nothing for gaining anyway, right? Weird.....
  • I lost all my weight while snacking after dinner every single night. It makes no difference when you consume calories as long as it fits your daily allotment.
  • Nope. I can read just fine. But you're speaking like everyone with a certain measurement ought to feel that it's fine, when on certain size women it doesn't feel that way. But thanks for reading into what I said. Don't believe I told anyone to drop any fat.
  • 20-21" may measure on the slim side but if they're primarily fat it doesn't come off that way. Especially on a short body. I'm 5'4" with 20.5" thighs and despite losing 40lbs and a year of lifting they're still far from looking slim.
  • I only have a minute, but I struggled with this too. What I found was whether I set to lightly active and ate no exercise calories back, or set to sedentary and ate about half back....it equaled about the same. I had to play with it a bit to find my sweet spot, but playing it both ways helped me narrow it down.
