TRUTH: It isn't necessary to be extreme to lose fat fast. Your current plan is extreme!

BTW I think you are underestimating your calorie needs, possibly by a lot.

I weigh my veggies because I aim to eat 450g of non-starchy veggies (about 1lb) each day. I'm eating 150g (about 1/3 lb) right now, sauteed with salmon in a red-wine butter sauce. Earlier today I was pressed for time and just simply blended 150g in my BlendTec at breakfast and lunch.

Is it the caffeine you are addicted to? Is it regular or diet? You'll feel it if you cut out sugar or caffeine. Caffeine takes a week to overcome (but you can wean off using green tea in lesser and lesser amounts). Cutting back on sugar or carbs takes about three days to get used to.

Try increasing your protein and fat intake. Also track fiber and increase your intake of fiber (veggies, flaxseed, chia seed, avocado, beans, legumes). These foods are nourishing and satisfying. When you lower your carb and sugar intake, you will feel it for about 3 days. If you can hang in there, the cravingswill stop.…

So true, it's all about results. What changes are you trying to make (besides the scale number)? Measure the things you want to see changed...body fat percent, waist measurement, sleep, mood, blood tests, etc. What you measure will improve, because you become aware of it, and make decisions based on reality.

For me it's about food choices and macros. So stocking the fridge and pantry, then weighing and logging my food. That way I eat the foods that are best for me (leave me feeling satisfied) Exercising, even if I start small, like with a 30min walk and early morning lifting.

Maybe you would enjoy the subject of epigenetics: "stably heritable phenotype resulting from changes in a chromosome without alterations in the DNA sequence"....quoted from Wiki. In other words, how What you do, think, eat, etc, affects the genetic expression of your body's set DNA: "...epigenetic can be used to describe…

If your bone growth plates are still in the growth phase (men grow until about 25years of age), then eat your protein and veggies, whole grains and sweet potatoes just like mama told you! If you have access to raw milk, get some; the calcium is readily absorbed from raw milk. Or Silk milks have lots of calcium, too.

Hi! I can feel your pain! Let's lose weight together. I'm dropping of some weight post partum.

Try increasing your veggie intake daily. Lately I've been putting veggies into a bullet blender cup and just drinking them down, just to make it easy. I personally aim for 450g veggies daily. So like 150g at each of 3 meals. Saute for breakfast, salad for lunch, the last 150 in a blender cup. When I was logging…

GT Dave's Grape or Strawberry Trader Joe's Gently Gingered Kombucha (in a can). It tastes quite a bit like a beer!

Thank-you! Okay I did that, that's awesome! Minus 500 cals BOOM.

Good point!

Get a food scale, weigh everything and log it in your diary. Decide on your macro goals and eat for macros. IMO tracking fiber is important. Wear a fitness tracker, they really help to motivate and keep your mind directed as you make decisions about eating and exercise.

A glass next to the bathroom sink, a big gulp type cup next to my bed, and a water glass at the sink in the kitchen. I drink when at those places. I take water in the car; I always get thirsty there! One note, If you ignore your thirst promptings, eventually you don't "feel" thirsty. Conversely, if you start drinking water…

Since you know so much, post your own link suggestions.

I'm curious, do you feel satiated on 46g protein, and 1500 cals? I personally would be craving and miserable. IMO you could increase your cals by 500 easily and still lose weight. Protein drinks are low in calories. Nonfat greek yogurt sweetened with stevia. Chicken or turkey could be a snack with some veggies.

This site has helpful information on lots of topics including ADHD. I searched ADHD (scroll down past the ads) http://www.greenmedinfo.com/search/google-cse#gsc.q=adhd

Maybe this will work for you, it works for me: macro goals. I weigh and track my intake, making it my goal to eat 120g protein or more, keep my carb and sugar intake low (fat intake is high), 35g or more fiber daily. It surprises me how effective this is, it's like playing a game. For example, if I don't want more…

I just used it a few days ago as a diluted throat gargle, to treat strep throat! followed by a dose of fresh garlic, and this combo totally cleared me up, no trip to the Dr's office needed! I have not used it regularly, but it's worth some research to see what ACV offers.

My carbs are lowered during weight loss, so my fat cals are high, with grams of fat close to grams of protein. This has been no problem for weight (fat) loss at all.
-
I have to eat "my way", not what everyone else is eating. It wouldn't work for me to eat my husband's dinner. I need to weigh my food and eat the food that's best for me. That's just me. When I ate differently, my whole family followed my example. I didn't expect that! It actually made it a little harder for me, because I…

Whey protein is good for your immune system.

Hello! Best wishes to you! I'm 48 and post-partum (15 days ago). Three days ago I started to eat like a champ to lose some pounds.

I'm currently pregnant, and due. I was very very nauseous in the first 3 months. I still get queasy if I don't get enough protein. I've used whey protein a lot this pregnancy! Because I don't always want meat. Also fresh ginger root!! It keeps things moving in the digestive tract, and many other benefits also. I fine-grate…
