Rpyle111- I am almost 3 months out from my sleeve and since I started the process I have lost 70lbs. You are so right I am feeling things that I didn't know existed. Grim_traveller you go it. I talked to my family doc. today. She told me it is the xiphoid process and sometimes we not only feel it after weight loss but…

I understand your impatience and frustration. We all have been there. Even when things go right it seems like it takes forever. There are many setbacks in this process. I had an insurance glitch at the end and my surgery was scheduled later than I had planned. I was so frustrated. The only thing that kept me going is I…

Wonderwomanvic- Love the name change! You did what you needed to do and got that referral! Keep going wonderwoman!!!

I was petrified about becoming nauseated after surgery. I'm sorry you went through it. Sounds like they did all they could. Thank goodness it was better by the time you went home
-
I usually have nausea after anesthesia also and let my surgeon know this. They put some kind of patch on my neck before surgery and I was surprised how well it worked. If I ever have surgery again for any reason I will make sure I get that patch again. I have to look at my paperwork and see what it was.

Awesome!

I don't have the experience as many here. You said you have several medical problems. Are you on meds that may be affecting your weight? You might want to make an appointment with your doctor, surgeon and/or nutritionist to see if they have suggestions to get things back on track. There may be some options you never…

I was sleeved 11/23/15 I was put on a morphine pump after surgery so I didn't feel much pain. I was up and walking the night of surgery. My pain was very minimal. I went home with liquid hydrocodone that I took every 4 hrs for the first couple days and then took it only at night when needed. I would have to say the hardest…

Congrats! I am hearing more and more people having difficulties with the band. I originally wanted the band. I am grateful that my insurance co. does not cover the band and I had the sleeve to begin with. Sorry for both of you and the pain you have endured. Wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Thanks for the good read!

Haha! I just finished wiping my kitchen counters as my arm fat slapped against my under arm I just had to laugh. Humor helps with this process. When I exercise I use spandex or compression wear. Target has some really cute capris for around 20 bucks. Most stores carry a section of workout clothes. I have even found them at…

It depends on your insurance provider. My insurance had no set time but some require 3 months and some require 6 months. Until I finished all the classes and appointments I was at about 3 months anyway. It gives you time to prepare yourself and change bad habits before surgery. Most surgeons offices know what the majority…

Awesome! So glad it works for you.

Welcome you found a great group!

Glad you are feeling better. It does improve daily. Your doing wonderful on your protein it took me longer to get there. Keep up the awesome work!

You are absolutely correct, it shouldn't be so hard. Another thing to think about is hormones. This process can make your hormones go out of whack. When you said about crying it made me think about when I was pregnant and I would cry for absolutely no reason. I hope you hear back from someone soon.
-
OMG That is great! I had a partial hysterectomy so no more periods but I can tell my hormones have been wacky since my surgery.

How do you like the Misfit Tracker? I am deciding if I want a activity band or not.

I agree with both anbrdr and cmchandler74. Please see someone. This process is full of many highs and lows. You are worth the effort! You could reach out to your surgeons office and see if they have suggestions for you. There may even be a group focused on post-op depression or they could refer you to a counselor. We are…

Congrats! It will be here quicker than you think!

IBS can be extremely painful. People tend to think it can't be that awful. I have had pains worse than when I was in labor. They do come and go just like labor pains. Fortunately I've only dealt with it a handful of times. I have family members that get them frequently. That may be what you experienced. Hopefully it was…

Congrats! Wishing you a smooth recovery. Let us all know how your doing when your up to it.

Hi! Great job on the wl and getting back into those jeans.

Thank goodness I find it so easy to log. Sometimes I log my meals ahead of time. This keeps me focused. Maybe if you plan meals ahead of time and log them it would be easier for you. If you decide to add something else to your intake then its easier to remember that one(or more) thing then the entire day of food.

Awesome job bassjones!

This is great information. Thanks for posting!

I couldn't get a hard number on calories or macros either. The only thing I could get is that you are doing great and you should try to get your carbs up to at least 40. I believe it is as stated above we are all different and we need to find what works for us. It can be frustrating for us newbies.

I also started keeping track of my measurements. I found that in my stall I was still losing inches. Maybe sometimes we are gaining some muscle and still losing fat.

I was sleeved 11/23/15 and had a major stall about 4 weeks after my surgery. I never have been more tempted to throw my scale out the door. I did the exact same thing. I went back to the shakes and yogurt and in a few days the weight started coming off again. I also increased my exercise a bit. From everything I read…
