Welcome back! And yes - I second ladipoet's suggestion - fathead pizza is amazing!!!! <3

I have had a trainer tell me a similar thing about carbohydrates - they were totally wrong! Salt was definitely the issue, not the lack of carbs. If you opt to use an oral rehydration solution to up your electrolytes, just ensure you check the label, a lot have unnecessary sugars thrown in.

Hi Guys, Just thought I would post an update. As suggested by a few helpful people, I tried increasing my sodium intake to see if it would make a difference. And wow - it has helped a LOT! After reading your replies, before my next workout a drank a glass of salty water as a quick fix attempt - and BOOM - no dizziness, at…

Thanks for your replies guys :) I haven't been experiencing any cramping at all, but I do take a really good magnesium powder supplement daily. It could be definitely be a lack of sodium. I'll include some salty treats in my grocery shop next time!

Welcome :)

I see it the next day, without fail!

Usually every 2-3 days, and ALWAYS the day after I have had alcohol or consumed a more carb-heavy meal, so I see the consequences.

I'm from Brisbane. Have been fairly slack about filling in my diary for the last few weeks though. Moving house and a new job has thrown my routine out in a huge way. Getting back logging this week now that things will be more settled. I just use thickened cream - versatile, good to put in eggs, coffee, etc.

Sounds like a hit in the making! B)

Add me, welcome back to the LCHF life!

Hahahahaha!! I think I will embrace your attitude, and just know what I am doing is right for ME. Pretty sure she was a nutritionist.

It's just funny how different people handle new information, or information that conflicts with what their current school of thought is. My brother is a nutritionist, and when I told him about my new WOE, he was a little skeptical at first. But also intrigued, he looked at it as an opportunity to do some research and learn…

Also, for me: how gross, bloated, gassy, lethargic, and queasy I felt after my first carb binge after being on LCHF for a month, is a strong deterrent against making the same mistake again!

My biggest issue is beer! All my friends are beer drinkers. Beers get passed around at work every Friday afternoon. Last night I went to a brewery/bar that has this great food truck that serves delicious AND cheap wings every Wednesday night. I haven't been there since I changed to LCHF. When I got to the bar, they didn't…

Eggs Cheese - feta, tasty, and sometimes camembert or brie as a treat :) High fat greek yoghurt Sour cream Bacon, bacon, bacon.... mmm.... bacon! Chorizo Hot hungarian salami Beef mince (always) and generally whatever meats are on special -I often create a weekly menu based purely off what meats I can get for cheap that…

Congratulations Karlotta! Amazing!

It varies for me - if I'm at home and not having to work that day, I often don't feel hungry til after midday. I'll have a coffee, then lunch, a snack, then dinner. When I work I kick off at 6am, I'll usually wolf down some Greek yoghurt with protein powder and some coconut oil mixed in before work, and that keeps me going…

Feel free to add me - not sure how much inspiration my food diary will give you, be sure to check out the recipe thread in this forum. There are some gems in there!

Oh wow, I was drooling at this recipe.... Spaghetti squash seem to be hard to come by in Australia though. Will have to see if I can track any down at my local farmer's market this weekend.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I feel good! First week was tough, I had a headache for 3 days that wouldn't go away unless I took some Advil. My energy levels are good, although I do find myself wanting to go to bed earlier than I used to - but I attributed that mostly to starting up with exercise again. I have noticed I…

I love having a beer after knocking off work on a Friday.... I have made the switch to vodka, with a bit of fresh lime and soda. I do miss beer though.... :'(

Started at 73.5kgs, and I'd love to hit 62kgs and maintain it, so I believe that's aiming for a 25lb loss! I'm looking for more friends to keep me motivated and accountable, so please feel free to add me

After losing a lot of weight (17kgs) 3 years ago, it had started to creep back on in the last 4 months. Heading into week 3 of getting my eating habits back on track, and would love to make some new motivated friends on MFP
