  • I do think Erin was the CHAMPION!!! Congrats. Dibs was there a few days (hours?) later... Me, it will be a while yet!
  • Franco--I missed your 40 lbs lost post. A sincere congrats. As much as we all can congratulate you, your BODY and future self is the real one that is soooooo very grateful on this amazing achievement. 40 pounds is a serious amount of weight. WOW!!!!
  • Checking in. Finally seeing the weight come off again. Erin amazing job. I'm going to do my dampest to catch you though!!!!
  • Im still trucking along.. slow steady progress - I will take every .2lb loss! I agree the group has gone quiet. Im off next week - and plan on personally messaging everyone in the group to add their voice to the forums! Steve
  • Hey Erin, I was just thinking we need to kick this group up a notch (posting)... we seem to be doing well weight wise! February has been a good month for me... Im not at 10lbs but close, and finally under 200 lbs overall. I really FEEL different... it feels amazing. As I get closer to my goal, I know each 5lb drop will be…
  • I keep telling myself - this is a marathon not a sprint. It is a way of life, not a diet. Susan - you are running in the right direction :-)
  • January was a great month for me. I lost 15 lbs and more importantly (for me) got past the dreaded 3 week stage. That week for me always seemed to trip me up in the past. I think the cause was in 3 weeks there would always be an occasion where healthy eating flew out the window, and that would derail me for a…
  • I did P90X3 Yoga. Im gearing up to do a full 90 days of the original P90X starting on February 1st... bit nervous - its a big commitment but I now that my kids are a bit older and sleeping a bit more regular I think I can commit!
  • This group is doing very well.... here is to another successful week (week 4!!!) for all of us!
  • How many times have you lost this same 10 lbs. Im down about 10 too, and I've probably lost this same 10 lbs 20 times... But this time that cycle stops! Your hubby may have lost as much/more - but does he weigh more? As a percentage maybe you are losing more than him. Ultimately though its a slow march towards a goal we've…
  • Hey Erin, work has been killing me lately, add on top my wife been away (so Im single Dad) -- its been busy. But, but but-- I've stayed 100% to my diet - yeah. Exercise had to give yesterday, but otherwise very good week. I do feel the 'new years buzz' wearing off a bit - the excitement, commitment and motivation - having…
  • I succeeded last week in avoiding ALL bad food at my poker game... that was a huge achievement for me. As a reward I lost a few more pounds :-) This week, more of the same. Im doing very well, I just need to stay the course. I know as the weeks move from 1 to 2 to 3 etc... motivation can start to wain. We have to keep…
  • Im a fitbit and MFP person. I have a withings scale that I step on and it sends my weight into the cloud (which is why my profile weight is always being updated). Their app is very similar to fitbit.
  • Want something new to do? Youtube "workouts for hotel room" or something like that. I bet there are a TON of body-weight exercises that are killer!
  • Charlotte - no pop/soda is a GREAT idea... I've always heard -- don't drink your calories...
  • No problem Charolette! I just realized the mobile app has no 'community' stuff in it :-(
  • Great idea... Workouts Mon: Total Synergistics Tue: Jog (couch to 5K, week 5) Wed: Weights (mixed) Thr: Yoga Fri: Weights (P90X3 The Challenge) Sat: Jog (couch to 5K, week 5) Sun: XStretch Kcal - under 2000 every day. Friday night. Poker night -- hosting. NO BEER (play better poker, win more $$). Snacks: 1 larabar, and as…
  • Susan, even though it said 2lbs, you can bet you didnt eat 7000 kcal of treats... so its water weight, that will come off in a couple days -- so this week's loss will be great :-) 12 hour shifts, with kids -- that is hard. I've worked in my fair share of hospitals too (in a different stage of life), and it can really reek…
  • Museum this morning with kids, and then cooking bulk for the week. Made a pot of goulash (7.5 lbs of roast, 4x cans of tomato sauce etc..) Figured it out after I dished it all into storage... 40 servings (10 dinners for family), and it cost about 1.10/serving :-). Managed also to do X-stretch (a P90X routine)... overall…
  • I have a fitbit, and I just let it track exercise, I don't put anything into MFP. For strength training type of exercise you could log it and just put zero kcal burn if you want?
  • Good morning Erin! I did P90X3 'the challenge' this morning -- was great! I even managed to stick to my diet at poker last night :-)
  • I've added everyone as friend! Also don't want to 'overwhelm' everyone, thinking they have to be the 'accountability police' for everyone in the group. I'd suggest we either 'rotate' who we are buddies with (maybe make a 3 or 4 buddy system per week/month), or we just naturally find others that we click with (though it may…
  • Sent invitations to you all -- welcome!!!!
  • Group created "Accountability Group 2016" -- we can think of a better name later on :-) I've sent invites to all of you! Steve
  • Thanks Everyone, maybe a group is in order to keep us all accountable to each other?? I've never done a group on MFP - what do you all think?
  • Hi Momma -- I just posted a similar request to this forum! lets do this. How strict would you like me to be! I'd like you to kick my butt if I start to drift :-)
  • Added!
  • Yes, looking for more friends too -- please add me, and hold my feet to the fire if I start to drift :-)
  • Joining you all (again)... this time Im extra motivated. I do best when I have someone to be accountable besides myself -- so please consider adding me as a friend and sending me comments when you see me slip (though Im determined not to!).
