vanilla chia pudding with coconut milk and cardamom. Use fresh vanilla bean. It's like custard!

These two recipes have no added sugar. Eat in moderation obviously. These are as good as a "real" dessert to me Chia pudding https://wellnessmama.com/59344/chia-seed-pudding/ Date chocolate rolls http://www.anyaseats.com/chocolate-almond-date-balls/ Also I eat frozen red raspberries Orange slices with cinnamon Grapes For…

HI everyone! 5'5' HW 155 lbs (that I know of,I think it was closer to 160 lbs this time last year.) GW: 115 lbs - yes I want to be back to my 20-year-old weight. We will see. January was quite successful, my goal was 149 lbs and I dipped under that. Lost close to 9 lbs since 26 of Dec. But now I reached another freaking…

Thank you for this, and it can very much be the truth! I was huge on carbs, it is my weakness. Baked goods etc. And I am sorry everyone, I did not mean to start this discussion. I would not compare sugar to drugs. I myself know people who struggled a lot with addiction. I was just trying to describe something that happened…

Thanks for the link! I was brought up on gallons and gallons of milk. That was not the thing I reacted to. I do believe refined sugar is unhealthy, see for ex this link: https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/the-sweet-danger-of-sugar In the beginning of logging with MFP, cutting out most dairy, white rice, pasta and…

I also lost several inches in waist and hips.

hmm... if I am overeating 40% I am at 1680, which is my maintenance. How could I then have lost close to 9 lbs in 6 weeks? Hmm. I will try to weigh it all, but wow that is very tedious.

your goal is to be 124lbs at 5ft7?
My goal is 125 lbs at 5ft5. I started at 155, so 30 lbs.
In a previous thread you said you were 5ft 7?
I wish! Maybe a typo? 5ft7 and 125 lbs is still ok though. I would love to get to 120lbs.

Ok, I will try to tighten it up then! It will be interesting.

Thank you for looking. I am using a scale, not just everything. Should I weigh ingredients in a recipe too? Wow that is detailed. I will take your advice to heart. I have about 22 lbs to go, so will check out maintenance.

I registered in 2015 but did not start using MFP until now. I have been logging every day since late December and lost ca 8.6 lbs. I am 5'5" and down to 146.4 lbs. I am on a 38-day streak. My food diary is open to my friends, but yes, maybe I should make it public, what's the harm? I will change the setting if you want to…

I also approach it this way now. Like I have to forget about the bad food I crave. So much concentrated sugar and fats are maybe not natural anyway? I wonder if I would keep losing after I reach my goal though? Truth be told, at 1200 per day, with nutritious food, I am not hungry. It is the cravings that mess with me. I…

What amazes me is parents who train their kids to eat this stuff and then set them up for a life of obesity too. Soda and cakes used to be a treat, not an every day essential. Pizza is OK now and again, but it shouldn't be a go-to meal for your kids anymore than it is for you. Why not do ALL your family a favour and let…

We are very similar! Do you want to share food diaries and motivate each other during February?? I am traveling to SF with all its amazing Mexican good. Will be hard! You are also losing fast, everyone keep saying to up my calories and lose slower, but I just want to do it this way. Cheat days do not work for me. My TDEE…

Because of the oil/fat they are using to fry it?

Thanks for the feedback! I am wondering if I unfortunately need to exclude Chia Seeds, as my body might not be able to process them. Did anyone experience this? I really like them, the texture and nutrients...too bad. I wonder if doubling water intake could help. But it seems like it causes severe GI problems for me.

I heard of a man who ate dry seeds which then got caught in his throat! I just got a little worried that they would expand like crazy and get stuck in my insides...

Oh my gosh, how did you go from 148 to 115 in 6 months?? I am currently at 148 and I am worried it will take me a year to get down to 125. You must be younger than me. What is your diet and exercise routine??

I am unhealthy now. I was 155 lbs when I started, which at 5.5 is overweight. I had a child and my body changed, but I have always been skinny fat and an emotional/stress eater. I am changing the way I see food. I stopped all added sugar, gluten, only dairy is cottage cheese. I am trying to lose some more pounds and then…

Gosh, I am really sorry, I read you were 163 cm, I am 165 cm. At 48 kg that is underweight, 17 something BMI. I do have a history of ED, weight was down to 45 kg at one point. My little sister also got really really sick. This does make my commitment to MFP difficult, as I am constantly wondering if I am getting too…

Hi everyone! Reached my January goal of 148 lbs, and creeping under. Lost ca 7 lbs in the first month and in a healthy BMI! With my stats (5.5, HW 155lbs, CW 148 lbs, GW 125 lbs, eating 1200 cal/day) I expect to reach a point when weight loss is slower. Interested how people push those last pounds off...

Can I ask about your goal weight? It just seems a bit low. I am 2 cm taller than you, but wanted to share that when I was at that weight at age 18, they tried to put me in a home. Everyone is different, but just wanted to give my two cents. With your work out regimen - good job! - your muscles will weigh more too. Again,…

I am 5.5! I usually end of with 1250 or 1300 though. Losing ca 1.5 lbs per week currently.

Banana Shake with PB2 and banana and some raspberries fills me up. I managed to keep my diet much easier by eating at least 2 boiled eggs per day.

Since it is my TOM now, I can absolutely say that this was the reason I was so hungry. Really good advice everyone, thank you. I also lost more weight on the scale now that the witch arrived. Is it that water weight that people talk about.... my scale was almost still when I started three weeks ago, but I did lose 4.5 lbs,…

Interesting, it is so much to learn still. I am 5.5, 43, 150.2 lbs (starting at 155 over Christmas). I try, but often fail, to do 30-40 min exercise per day. I work on my laptop but chase my kids around if that burns some calories.I don't remember how I got maintenance, it was some online calculator...I was talking to a…

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I logged 3 weeks and lost almost 4 lbs, so I guess it's OK. About to have my period and hope the scale will change after that. Cravings are really hard around this time in my cycle. I also noticed that staying away from "white" carbs really helps. I am thinking of upping calorie intake to…

I noticed my blood sugar is not spiking so much. I seem to be leaning towards a low carb diet, helps me curb sugar cravings. Good to know it works for people!

But you said you've been at this 2 weeks, and I want you to still be at it (working to maintain a healthy weight) in 2 years, 5 years, etc. :)
Thank you, I really appreciate your advice!
