Yeah I definitely do! I've lost about 4 lbs since Jan. too :)

What helps me is not knowing how many calories are in certain things such as a piece of cake or a cupcake so I just don't eat it. Its tough but the more times you say no the easier it begins to get. There is currently cupcakes calling my name at work in the lounge but I am saying no (they were there yesterday too so they…

Yeah you definitely need to weigh things, otherwise you are probably eating way more then you think you are without realizing it.
-
As long as you're weighing your stuff out on a scale then sure!
-
It more so matters how you feel in your own skin not what the number on the scale is. I'm 5"3 and at 125 I felt my best.

I second the egg sandwich. When I dont work I usually make one of these with some turkey bacon and whole wheat toast and it holds me over for like 5 hours.

I've lost weight and gotten to where I wanted to be about 3 years ago and then fell off the bandwagon and gained it all back. Then went back on about 6 months later, and lost about 13 lbs and ended up gaining it all back again. Its always the same time of year to from August-December. Then this year I've done the same…

The only thing is I would like to build muscle so you're saying if I work out for 40 minutes doing strength training I shouldn't record any exercise calories at all? Even if I'm sweating and out of breath
-
So should I underestimate my calories then?
-
Can anyone help
-
Yep 5"3 and 136 lbs. Hoping to get down to 125 and eating at 1600 to lose .5 lb a week
-
Also you should eat back 25-50% of your exercise calories
-
No I usually have 100-300 calories left. Sometimes I bank those calories and use them on Saturdays but typically not this way I can lose at quicker rate.

My mom is built pear shapped, shes got the butt and the thighs/hips yet her stomach and waist is small. I am built the same way and my sister is built like my grandmother on my dads side they are apple shaped. I def think genetics play a role bc you distinctly tell in all 3 of us. My sister carries her weight in her…

CW: 136 GW: 125

My practitioner told me this before as well as mother who has developed arthritis in her knees? I always notice my knees hurting after I run too.

You can still eat those things just make sure it fits into your calorie goals! Most of the time the amount of calories turns me away from wanting to eat it though. I do eat it about once a week though
-
There are days where I want to give up but I want to look better more then I want to eat whatever I want and not log anymore. You've just gotta want it! I figure I might as well stick to this because either way time is going to still go by and I'll be more unhappy not losing weight then I will if I lose even a few lbs.

Too old? how old are you may I ask? Lol my dad is 62 and still can manage to bike 10 miles and plays basketball with guys two times younger then him.

As I've learned over the past couple months weight loss definitely isnt linear. You're going to bounce up and down but try and look at the overall picture as others have suggested. I was weighing everyday but since all it did was frustrate me I'm sticking to once a week on Friday mornings. :)

I have stressful weeks and I need it to de-stress plus its nice to social drink with friends on weekends. I've gotten better at control the eating while drinking too
-
Also, I've tried on some pants I wore this past summer (I was at 130 when I bought them) and they still fit just like they did then! Kind of confusing but I'll take it!

I had a friend tell me I would need to stop drinking beer to lose weight, lol RIGHT
-
Also I've just recently figured out there's a button on the bottom of my food scale that can convert to grams instead of oz lol (i thought mine was just cheap and didnt have that option). So I've heard sometimes its not really too accurate with oz bc it could be a bit off even if you are using a converting scale. So this…

I've honestly decided to stick to weighing once a week since it really seems to discourage me when I weigh daily and things like this happen. I won't give up but I wanna have some piece of mind. Thanks for all the advice guys and I will definitely take into account the "bigger" picture as you all have said.

Ive tried the zero-ing out but I swear my scale is *kitten* so I just tend to make it easier on myself and do it this way. As long as this way works its not a huge deal
-
I slightly agree with it just bc I have literally fluctuated anywhere between 130-138 lbs for the past like 8 years no joke. I'll lose and be at 125-130 for months and then fall off somehow and go back to 135ish. I would love to be stuck at 125 bc I feel like I look good at that stage so that is what I'm striving for.
-
thanks for the advice all!
-
Its just easier to me, someone on here gave me the advice to do that and its seemed to be working so far. But what worries me is that it has been two days since and I havent gone back down to my "current" weight fluctuations.

Thanks I really hope so!
