I've been using happy scale since monday as per recommend to me on here :) thank you!

That makes sense, so I've probably been at about 135-136 but it was water retention probably when I was 138? Sorry just trying to make sure I'm understanding correctly.

Yeah I was gonna say 4,000 calories burned seems ridiculous! Ive seen people running 7 mile half marathons which is about 12-13 miles typically and only burning 1500-1800 calories...
-
Just curious what everyone else thinks?
-
Usually yes, I try not to give in though!
-
So you think I'm still at 138? Or my body was retaining water so I may be less
-
But I'm not on yet?
-
So say my calories for the day is set at 1360, I work out and burn 300 cals so should I only be left with 150 cals left for the day if I eat back half?
-
My sleep is okay and I'm not stressed. You're probably right about the videos may be getting easier and I'm not burning as much which is why my caloric intake may be off everyday. They are walking videos so I normally was doing 2-4 miles and so I've since switched to jogging in place instead of walking to amp it up a bit.…

I'm just feeling really defeated right now as I thought what I was doing has been working but realizing it hasnt been...

I totally get what youre all saying. I know I need to make a change but everything I have been doing before was working 2 months ago I guess thats what I dont understand how it is drastically changing. I'm definitely not going to be giving up eating some "cheat" meals bc I would go insane if I didnt but I need to really…

It is just frustrating when you are making progress and then somehow slowly go up more and more. I know what worked once before wont always work again but I guess its annoying that I know it has and I feel like I am barely eating much at all and still nothing is changing. :/ I am not going to give up though. Thanks for the…

I totally understand and didnt mean to come off as rude or snarky. I know I need to change something because whatever I'm doing isn't working. I cannot really afford a fit bit right now to track my heart rate so I think the thing is I am overestimating my exercise calories and possibly eating back more then I should be.…

I just dont see how me actually typing in specific foods can help? If I'm weighing things out (which I didnt in the past) and adding them isnt that more accurate?
-
Cheat day Id say anywhere between 2000-2700 cals
-
It just depends. For breakfast I usually have about 150-200 cals, lunch 250-300, snacks between 150-200 and dinner I have about 450-500 cals. I usually have two snacks a day once after work and once after dinner. Typical burn is about 250-400 cals.

Yep

I use workout DVDS and youtube videos for my workout. I do not belogn to gym as I cant afford it so I do what I can and always work up a good sweat.
-
I weigh things out on my food scale and then quick add them. Its just easier for me this way and how I've always done things.

I would say sedentary to light. I am a teachers aide, I am sitting down for half the day and up and moving the other half. I exercise 40-60 min 5 days a week, usually includes, walking/jogging and strength training. I have my deficit now set at 1400 a day, but I was at 1600 to lose .5 a week. I do have a "Cheat" day on…

Yeah I have been tracking since beginning of October, I lost then went back up. My diary isnt the best because I just do quick add calories as it works easiest for me. I have no idea how I'd be eating 1800-2000 as most days I would be about 2-300 calories under still. I may be overestimating calories burned and that could…
-
How much are you trying to lose a per week? MFP told me at my weight and height to lose .5 lb a week I would need to eat a deficit of 1600 and to lose a lb a week 1350.
-
Just downloaded happy scale and stepped on the scale this morning, wasnt the happiest that it was up by .8 of a lb but I guess this is why I need this app :)
-
good idea I will def check into that! thank you!

I think what the hardest part is for me is that two years ago I was able to drop like 15 lbs from january until june starting at 139 lbs. I never used a food scale at all only stuck to measuring cups and spoons and it still worked. I also would "cheat" on saturdays and eat whatever and even sometimes on friday evenings!…

look up blogalites on youtube, she has a TON of great workouts

omg yes the walking doesnt help you lose weight thing! my mom used to walk 5 miles a day 5 days a week and lost 40 lbs by doing that and eating right. no one says you have to do HIIT training everyday or run 20 miles a week, do some cardio mixed with some strength training and youre good.
-
I was only planning on leaving it at this deficit for a couple of months and then going back to .5 lb a week just to jump start my weight loss. Depending how things go I may only do it for a month's time :) thanks for the advice!
-
I keep thinking I need to change the batteries bc its been quite awhile since I have changed them but I'm not sure if thats just me hoping thats it or not :p My scale used to fluctuate quite a bit as in I could stand on it once and then step on it a few min later and the weight would change by a couple lbs and this would…

Thanks! I know I can def tighten up my logging its just so weird how I was able to lose before without ever using a food scale whatsover and now I am using one and still not seeing results. I know it hasnt been long so I can't get so discouraged so easily though. I feel like if I do weigh in everyday then I may get…
