Definitely wish I had found this last month as I was struggling. Hopefully the accountability will help. So I can get an accurate count... A portion of wine is 5 or 6 ounces right??? Because my wine glasses hold a little more :smile:

Hi. I have been doing IF (16:8) for 5 days now. My window is 10:30a to 6:30p. Question: I usually go out of town on the weekends. Would it interfere with IF if I were to only do it during the work week and on the weekends, eat whenever while staying under my calories for the day?

I weigh myself every morning to track fluctuations. Usually an hour after a cup of water and my thyroid pill. I pop it into MFP once or twice a week. Typically beginning of the workweek/end of the workweek time frame.

I gained 8 pounds over the holidays but after New Years, I got back on it with working out and nutrition. Cooking the majority of my meals has really helped. I have already lost the 8 and an extra pound on top of that.

Alcohol is also a downfall of mine. Not because of the liquor but because of the food I want while I'm drinking (hello whole bag of chips, pizza, wings or fried tenders). I'm learning to limit the number of days I consume alcohol.

This! I'm learning I have to do the same thing as well. I switched from regular chips to Kettle chips and I'll still finish the bag of Kettle. Lately, I have been purchasing 1 individual bag at a time. It's more expensive but it keeps me honest.

I needed this post as well. Part of my goals for October include not drinking hard liquor except the weekend of my college homecoming. However, after reading some of these comments... I will definitely work on cutting down on the wine calories as well.

I've been using MFP for 4 days now. I've tried before but it didn't stick. This time I'm measuring or weighing food to get a more accurate count of my calories. I'll be here for awhile as I have a lot of weight to lose. Feel free to add me :)
