I shall not expect so that I will not resent.

Anything I want day!!!

I found that eating less meat than I used to helps a great deal with reaching my weight loss goals. I ate 3x the daily protein requirement and 3x the sugar and carbs. I now acknowlege the balanced diet. It's not a matter of what class of eating loses weight faster to me, but rather losing and sustaining my weight and…

Sometimes I would stuff 2 cups of steamed veggies with balsamic vinegar for taste. 30 cals. Chicken breast. 160 cal. Uncle bens instant rice in a cup 100 cal. That leaves me with 300 left before bedtime which I rarely do. I want to point out that having a decent dinner is the key for a good night's sleep. Snacking lighter…

It's an Anything I want to eat day and yes I do still lose weight. Pizza, drinking, pasta, you name it. The catch is not to go way overboard. I'm still at a 1.5 weekly deficit. This helps the boring meals easier to deal with. Everything will be different when I'm at maintainance. I will also eat more because of my…

How about a 600 cal dinner so you don't wake up hungry.

Dealing with gluttony foods during Holidays and family get togethers.

Use a scale and measuring cups! Gets me backon track always.

No reason to beat yourself up. It does take a couple of tries to get your right motivation. Looks like your heading in the right direction.

Welcome to MFP :)
-
A great peice of advice. I will adapt that whe I get to my desired weight.
-
When I first started MFP, I tracked my sugar in my diet to see how much I ate. It was way way too high. I went low carb snd sodium only for a couple weeks to supress my insulin levels and as a result to lower my sugar cravings. Amazing enough I dumped water weight quickly and still drink nearly a gallon daily to keep my…

Personaly I've experienced this first hand. I felt that that I was caught off guard. When I looked at theirs, ha ha! It was private. This is why mine is too. We need more genuine members with a show of respect and support.

I think it's time to switch to maint. And workout to create more definition. Good job!

I look at calories differently. Empty cal. And nutritional cal. Lets say I avoid food calories with no calcium which our body may not produce. My body will take it from another reserve sources like our bones and possibly teeth. We need nutritional calories. So why not make better choices for food and use empty calories as…

One pound loss per week is set for me. I will achieve it by April 2016. However I'm losing more like 1.5 so that's a nice cushion for the plateaus. I believe in goals. I like to achieve them, create new ones like fitness goals afterwards. I have old Levi jeans just waiting for me to wear them again as a reward. Figurative…

Better yet. That vinegar is dilute down to 3%. Use house cleaning vinegar. More like 5-10%.I dilute 8 ounces per 64 ounces warm tap water and soak them no less than 20 min. It's a great foot cleaner and you can also use a foot stone to scrub dead skin off. My feet always look like I've been to the spa. After you solve your…

We'll your still ahead of me. I'm attempting to get to 180. Started last year from 237lbs. Now I'm half there. Get motivated and get back in th ring. I would like to be 196.

I do it on purpose. I don't feel bad either.

There is no friggin way that I will go six months counting and logging every day with out a Cheat Day, Break day, or have anything I want day. After words , I feel like I'm ready to get back to it. There is nothing wrong with it. It's mostly about learning to at a reasonable amount. It's not a big deal to me.

Food scale!

When I took medical advice to reduce my sugar intake to 12 and under teaspoons per day I had extreme cravings for several days. Afterwards the taste for sugar subsided. Insulin levels dropped and I was able to accept more veggies instead. Real food became tasty again. A glob of ice cream no longer became the focus of the…

Sounds good.

Again. Got what I needed. Thanks a million.

Why are some of us so obsessed over the word cheat. It's about me getting past the holidays with obtaining my goals. My approach is fine. I was looking for tips only. Don't bother with the word cheat day please. Lol

Daily weight will go up and down. Do not be discouraged! Remain at a daily deficit, keep the sugar down to 9 teaspoons daily to keep your insulin levels at bay and dont forget to drink lots of water.. Less cravings that way. Your weight will drop surely, but only at it's pace. We all want to lose weight right away. You…

He can still function easily in one kidney it just gets larger to compensate. He better learn to eat lots of veggies. That will be his best bet.

My point exactly. It's new territory. I always dieted in the spring and let loose till the holidays are over and found myself out of control. This time i'm doing it all the way to my lowest weight since 15 yrs ago. That means through the holidays. In essence; my cheat days (once a week ) are my free meal days. It's going…
