Friday Weigh in Chrissyinbloom PW 221.1 CW 224.4 A lot of ups and downs lately. My doctor has me on Trulicity to help me lose weight. It keeps my blood sugar stable and keeps me feeling full. Just upped my dose today because I've stalled. Also, starting therapy in about a week to deal with the underlying anxiety/depression…

Friday Weigh In Chrissyinbloom PW 225.3 CW 222.6 SW 242.2 Total Loss 19.6 Getting out of the funk I was in last week. Spoke to my doctor and she made me feel better because she is so understanding. She upped my Effexor temporarily and that has helped as well. I finally got an appointment with a therapist to help me deal…

I am able to wear shirts that just a few months ago were too tight!

I am the same. Using food to cope with stress, anxiety, depression. I've decided I need to see a therapist to deal with the root cause of things. Meds alone aren't cutting it. Good luck to you!

Sorry I missed weigh in last week! I had gotten sick and was in bed for a while. Feeling mostly better now. Friday Weigh in PW 226.8 (7/15) CW 222.4 SW 242.2 Total loss 19.8 lbs Kinda exciting to be so close to a 20 lb loss! Doesn't seem like much on my body, but 20 lbs is a lot!

I think that's a great goal! But I have to say something from personal experience. Don't be afraid of taking medications. I don't know how severe your symptoms are, but for me, I need them. I tried for something like 5 years to stay off of meds, but I ended up realizing that I need them. I had been on and off meds for 20…

Friday Weigh in chrissyinbloom PW 226.1 CW 226.2 I weighed in at 224.2 yesterday... then ate too many carbs and not enough water! More proof that low carbs works for me. And water is necessary!

I walked from my car to work (10 min walk) without getting winded. I usually take the shuttle bus in the mornings because I don't like getting all sweaty before work, but I had just missed it! After work, it depends on the weather. Nice weather I walk, bad weather I ride. haha

Thanks! I think I overdid it this weekend at my daughter's birthday party... but I'm back on track and I'm sure it will come off fast!

@tahm42 Is that Dunnellon? My husband and I were married there at the state park! ❤️❤️❤️

Friday Weigh In Chrissyinbloom PW 231.9 CW 226.1 I've decided to find a therapist to help with past trauma and my food issues relating to the associated anxiety/fear. No luck so far. The first place I called isn't accepting new patients... I will keep trying!

Hi, just wanted to share my experience. I've been on Trulicity for almost 5 weeks now. It's a weekly injection. It's NOT insulin, but it helps to delay gastric emptying, making you feel full. I've lost 7 lbs so far on the lowest dose (0.75 mg). I've had very little side effects: nausea the first 2 days and mild…

I'm loving this thread! Read through a lot of pages. My mini goals include: Finding a therapist to help with trauma and food issues. And fitting comfortably into a size16.

Weigh in Day chrissyinbloom PW:230.1 CW:231.9 I'm struggling with urges to eat junk food, mostly sweets, cakes. It's habit, maybe an addiction. I'm emotionally eating too... I think I use food as a way to squash down bad feelings. This dates back to childhood where I had ongoing verbal, emotional trauma for years. Still…

I've had anxiety my whole life. For as long as I can remember anyway! I am on Venlafaxine for it now, 150 mg daily. Definitely helps. Spending time outdoors and exercising are my main coping tools. Sometimes, I don't even know what triggers it! Big things trigger it obviously, like new students at work or moving (done with…

Hi everyone! I'm new here :) HW 242 CW 229 GW 145 1. Tell us a little about yourself? I'm 45 years old, married with 2 kids, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I love spending time outdoors: hiking, camping, and gardening. We live on top of a mountain with 10 wooded acres. My dream home! Love the wildlife that comes around,…

I have started my first vegetable garden this year. Above ground, in fabric pots because our soil is 50% rock and 50% clay! So far, I LOVE the fabric pots! I planted tomatoes, zucchini, sunflowers, and onions. Super excited for zucchini. I love it! And my daughter will eat tomatoes like an apple :) We also have chickens.…

Oh yeah, I saw that info.. 10 lbs in what time frame? The sources I read gave vague info but I didn't dig into that anymore. I only pay $25 a month, so It is totally doable for me. I'm on day 4 now... definitely cuts back on the amount of food I can eat! I feel full all the time. If I try to overeat, I get a twinge of…

I was afraid of antidepressants/anxiety for the same reason. I tried to stay off of them, but finally came to the conclusion that I need them to be functional! I've been on 5 or 6 different meds throughout my adult life. Currently on venlefaxine. Never had any weight gain from any of them. My weight gain always has to do…
