Joining this! Last month I started counting calories again and realized it’s my drinking that’s inhibiting weight loss. I didn’t realize how many drinks I’ve gotten use to over this past year(s). In the past (pre-COVID) I rarely drank, only during social gatherings and it was usually just 1 drink, which I didn’t even…

Add me! I am definitely in the same boat as you. I'm 30 years old and I would like to lose 10 pounds, maybe even 15. The hardest part about losing weight for me is eating the right portion sizes and cutting out the sweets. I would love to have motivation to workout and not succumb to ice cream !

I've been eating very little meat (mainly chicken) and lots of veggies lately. This past weekend I had Turkish Adana meat. It was grilled ground lamb. It was super delicious! My digestive system was not too happy.

After a couple days of your normal dieting again, it will come right off.

Well if you are losing the weight and toning how you want... Is it such a bad thing? Just don't let that allow you to eat even more down the road. I noticed when I first started really working out hard several months ago, but appetite was through the roof. My body wasn't use to all the exercise and was telling me to eat…

I'm 5'4 and the heaviest I weighed was 152. My ideal weight is 130lbs. The last time I was 130lb, I felt and looked really amazing. Lean, strong, and healthy. I have a medium build and gain muscle easily, so don't think I can get down much lower than 130.

I think you are on the right track. You don't want to overwhelm yourself in the beginning. Do what you feel your body can do.... As long as your consistent with it (for next few months) then you will definitely see and feel the results. Later on you can add more workouts.

To some extent I used to be envious, but when I really look into their eating habits and workouts or lack of.. It's not that surprising. I'm starting to get over it and not compare myself to that... Some people eat a lot, but not for every meal or they may only have one large meal and a snack for the rest of the day. Some…

I have the same problem! I workout at least once on the weekend or try do some some outdoor activity. As for as diet goes, perhaps try eating less for breakfast or lunch. And then you can slightly indulge for dinner or whenever you hang out with friends/family. Also try to be highly selective of which indulgent thing you…

Lots of water & some good fats like olive oil, avocado etc. Also maybe some soups till you clear the way...

This is a tough one! From personal experience, I wait till my hair is relatively dry from sweat before I take it out of my bun or braid. Then you could lightly dry it a little with your blow dryer and add dry shampoo. Everytime I let me hair down when it's still sweaty it looks more dirty? However, you will have more…

Wow that's amazing! So motivating to see that !

Apples, avocado, beans, chickpeas, and quinoa are great for higher fiber foods. You can sprinkle flax seed on your food/smoothie, which has a good deal of fiber.

I like the idea of the egg muffins ! I'm gonna def try that !

I've been wondering about this too. I eat a lot of fruits and always go over my sugar. Not sure if I should try to limit it....

I used to lose it in my waist and face first. Now I think it's my boobs =(

Sounds like you are doing all the right things! Perhaps try a sit to stand desk with anti fatigue mat. It's getting popular for people who work in the office all the time. Sitting is one of the worst things to do to your body for long periods of time, esp if you have any back problems.

[/quote] When it comes to weight loss, what you eat is less important than how much of it you are eating. If you are eating more on the weekends, that might be something to look at. It's totally possible to wipe out the deficit you created during the week during the weekends. Fish tacos and Thai food (depending on the…

Yea I think my dining out is really messing up my weekly calorie deficit. I dine out 1-2 week. I have to be more aware of that. I think I'm probably under estimating what it really is worth. I think you might be right about the protein shakes. It's a significant amount of calories (approx 300-350) and I'm starving well…

I think I eat a relatively healthy balanced diet during the week... I'm thinking it's my weekend drinks/dining out that sabotages me and perhaps the sugar in my coffee. Weekdays: Breakfast- protein shake (hemp protein, almond milk, fruit, flax oil) OR large hard boiled egg with banana OR kashi go lean protein cereal…

Can you tell me what you did to kick your sugar habit? What do you mean keto?

Just ordered my first food scale! Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the replies! I don't log my exercises... I find it hard to do so bc my workout doesn't quite fit into any of the items listed. I just log my calories. I switched back to 1400 calories today. Felt like I was set up to fail when I was on 1200. I wasn't logging for the past few days but I'm back on it today! Feel…

Hey there! I would love to have a fitness/weight loss buddy to keep us on track. I'm great at encouraging people as well as being firm. I'm just not as good doing that to myself... My goal is to lose approximately 20 pounds.
