@moe0303 I think he is saying he lacks education himself. The inability to see beyond his experiences.

Yes, I do - quite a bummer =(

@@TR0berts I'm sorry to say, I don't think she was getting her teeth removed... xD (kidding!!)

People seem to think therapy is free.

I'm one of those people who gets excited to be hungry, or "starving" if it just so happens that I can't control the situation at the time (say, I was too busy studying and then working, and then exams) - the thought of "yeaahhhh, I'll get to eat soon" just makes me excited as opposed to angry - even if I don't get…

Thermogenic adaptation, metabolic adaptation; 'starvation mode' stems from those concepts - don't know why people so vehemently deny the colloquial term. Hm. Oh well

I hope it shrinks down to where you want. =)

I am from Canada. The referral can take 3-5 months, and the surgery after consultation wait time can be 12 months. This is the average as stated in the provincial health guide, but I'm sure there are private surgeons who could do it faster, in addition - the actual weight time varies between individuals. Yes, but that is…

No, that's part of it. My heel does lift up, but I cannot do parallel either, without having my chest all the way next to my thighs. I have done the phonebook thing too. I continue to practice to try to have my feet completely flattened (sometimes with a book) while I'm doing trivial things - like the playing with the…

Lol, I'm scared of machines! The staff at my gym have tried using a box for me to "fall" on for my squats. I could post a video I suppose... You guys are right that I'm not over-doing it with cardio - now that I think of it, I don't know why I thought 60 minutes a day maybe would be too much! Haha, silly me! A lot of you…
-
Is it really pointless? Isn't "any move a good move"? (I kid, I kid). I'll call it "body work out" instead of lifting. I used to incorporate squats, but...I'm one of those people who has tried endlessly to do the proper form, but according to a vast number of (1) random "personal trainers" who sweep in to give me advice,…

I honestly think we should strive to have society (by raising kids) to be completely fine with passing gas. People make such a big deal about it. They giggle, they laugh, they get embarrassed, they make fun at it in movies, shows. I don't understand at all what is so funny... And I'm not super old, I'm 23. It has never…

Absolutely. It's very embarrassing. I definitely don't talk about, and if it's brought up, I change the subject. If you don't want to put up a picture on MFP, don't put up a picture. This is the internet, everything you put up will stay up, so think twice about putting anything up.

I know this convo is little old, and there are always exceptions, and that's why I prefer to talk in generalizations, so I wanted to mention a 2015 study that found that their predictions of female attractiveness falling between a BMI of around 22-24, was actually incorrect by 2.6-4 units of the BMI. It turns out that…

In my opinion, living alone is easier. I don''t tend to buy myself sweets and treats, but the family sure does...they bring in loads of things and leave 'em wide in the open. I can't blame them, but I will say it definitely makes things harder.

Yeah, that's a nightmare of mine. I'd rather not weigh and just be confident that I'm losing, but my body is so fickle, that it puts on weight very, very easily. People say, "eat less, move more" unsympathetically as if it always results in huge weight loss because it's worked out simply for them. So I choose to weigh…

I find the measuring tape too inconsistent - somedays I measure it waay too loosely, other days, more fitting. Some suggested to go by the tightness of clothing. I like that way. I like having to buy new clothing and ditch out the fatter pants. =) "I am losing rather slowly (1 pound per week) - set MFP to 2 pounds" Pfft,…

Thinness and smallness is a bit different. You might be small, but you don't have the Swift/Hepburn thinness at the moment - I just mean the really skinny thin, flat ones. :) But yes, the commenters are right that we shouldn't compare about something we can't control. :)

If I had a child, I would want to do anything to make him/her happy - for me, I never get annoyed if someone asks me to stop doing something...let alone if it was my child. However, one could ask rudely, or one could ask nicely. Sometimes we get frustrated and ask a bit less nice then we would have liked. Maybe it's just…

"Please seek professional help" in my opinion are one of the worst, most un-sympathetic, passive, condescending ways to just say, "who cares". A mother's group might be nice You could try another sport you feel more enthusiastic about Dynamics can change when you become a mother and your other friends do not have kids. You…

Spot on, yes, I was talking about Vancouver. Thanks for all your thoughts everyone. Stay happy =)

That's what I keep picturing actually! The older Hepburn. When I think of Hepburn...I see her as the 60 year old...and she's just so....beautiful. Anyway, that's a different discussion that is not relevant to the original post as that is a discussion of facial beauty and not of a thin body frame that most every-day…

Well, I wasn't exactly comparing celebrities - I just gave a celebrity name so we'd all be in the same page of the type of thinness I was talking about. My main point was that in my city - most women have that type of body. I really couldn't care about celebrities, and hardly know their names, but...I know that in my city,…

I guess that is a good reason. Strive to just be ugly, instead of ugly and fat. It's good. I could use that line when I feel really discouraged that everyone around me is smaller than a size 0.
-
I'm sorry to hear about that, how did he pass?
-
I usually wear a bra, and then one or two sports bra above the bra. The bra isn't super specialized. I'm a 34 H. Much bigger than anyone else has posted it seems...and I don't really get anything special - just...lots of sports bra layers and it seems to do it for me.

So many people are saying yes, and it probably does go bad, but I've had my protein powder for about 4 years and I've been using it up again recently. I dunno. Still tasty to me.

Lol, I can easily eat 4,000 calories a day if I don't watch it. xD
