  • Reading this post has made me want a donut. Thank goodness I have one sitting on my desk right now. I fit them into my calories at least once a week, as they are the best donuts I've ever eaten (made locally by the wife of someone I work with). If you can't fit donuts into your diet (and you like to eat them), you're doing…
  • If you don't have confidence, fake it. And eventually you won't be faking it anymore, because it will be real. Pick some fitness goals, beat them, and that will help you feel way better. And if this guy doesn't like you the way you are now, he's not worth it.
  • I love to workout at night. It's also my only option as I hate waking up early -.- I also find that it helps with my RLS if I exercise at night. It doesn't get nearly as bad, and some nights it doesn't pop up at all if I did a crazy leg workout. I have sleep issues regardless of whether or not I exercise.
  • Hobo meals would probably work. You basically just wrap up veggies and meat in tinfoil, and bake it over a fire, or the stove. I make them when camping. Chicken, veggies, some seasonings and it comes out pretty tasty.
  • I don't have nearly that much to lose, but I picked up a couple bags of charcoal for the BBQ one day and went "wow, this is how much extra weight I am carrying around, no wonder my back always hurts".
  • I'm 5'5 and currently weigh 158.5 as of this morning. I'm aiming for around 125, but I won't know exactly where I want to be until I get there, as I just picked a weight that was around what I used to be when I got regular exercise and had an eat-whatever-I-want metabolism. I've been eating whatever I want whenever I want,…
  • I've been on several different pills, the nuvaring, the patch, mirena, and the depo shot. The only one I can stand at all is the depo shot. I love it. Only good side affects so far. I've gained and lost weight with all of them, except mirena. On mirena I only gained weight, and couldn't lose it, plus I had a ton of other…
  • That was me my second weigh in, I lost 4 lbs like you the first time I checked the scale, then I was terrified to check again the next week.
  • Friday I was right on target, still had a few calories left (I'm set to 1320, but I occasionally eat at 1200, so if I have leftover calories that's fine) and then my husband and his friend came in with pizza at 9pm. I ate 2 slices and a bread stick, and wasn't able to fit in a work out before bed, so I was way over my…
  • Yeah my husband can seemingly lose 10 pounds overnight. It's discouraging sometimes.
  • If you want to get out and do things, get out and do them. You shouldn't expect your husband to do everything with you if he is happy with his life as it is. I am an introvert married to an extrovert, and I am perfectly happy that way. I stay home and paint, or read, and my husband will go out with his friends. It's not a…
  • I crave both, just depends on the day.
  • I just didn't have the will power, and I liked food more than I wanted to change. But then my life got super stressful (which normally is when people would eat more, but...) and I realized that my weight is the one thing that I can change right now, something I, and I alone, can control. So I am. I asked for help, I got…
  • I can't stand weighing myself daily, at least not right now. I just started losing weight, and I find the daily fluctuations drive me crazy, wondering why I'm up higher, or haven't lost anything. I weigh once a week, and so far I have been lower every time. Different methods for different people though, so as long as what…
  • Yes as in a mini-trampoline. I'm not sure how it would work either, but she swears by it.
  • I'm not going through the same thing, but my husband's aunt is always going on about how rebounding helps tighten loose skin. Not sure if that's something you would be able to try out or not, but she has a bunch of people's testimonials stating things along that line, and other benefits.
  • Cheese does it for me. I didn't realize how many calories were in the amount I was eating almost every day. I just cut back on the portion size for it and now I can still have my cheese and it doesn't kill a huge portion of my meal calories at lunch time.
  • Have you told them how what they are doing is making you feel? Maybe they don't realize that they're upsetting you, and they honestly think you deserve a break or a treat. Just tell them if they are supposed to be your friends (I know you said they are your colleagues, but you're clearly somewhat friends with them), then…
  • Just a question, are you absolutely sure it's you? Occasionally I feel like my husband is becoming distant, but if we talk about it we usually realize that we've just been really busy, or really stressed out, and he didn't realize that he wasn't giving me the attention he normally does, and things generally go back to…
  • Definitely stretch after your work outs, and dial it back a touch if you're still ending up that sore.
  • I pigged out on mini chocolate bars and pop, but managed to stay close to my daily goals with exercise and smaller, lower cal meals. I regret nothing. If you can't have fun and splurge on yummies once in a while it's not worth it. Back to being good this week, our chocolate stash is pretty much gone now.
  • You can do it. Keep eating healthy because clearly, you've just proven that it is so worth it.
  • I don't eat back all of my exercise calories, and I also have my daily goal a bit higher so I can eat more on hungry days. It's set to 1320 for a goal of 1lb a week loss, but I will sometimes stop at 1200 if I'm feeling good. Combined with not eating all of my exercise calories back, I am always clocking in below. It…
  • My husband kind of made a similar comment when I first said I was going to lose all my weight. "No, you can't lose it, cuz then you will find someone else and leave me". We had a nice talk right then and there, and now he is super supportive of me losing weight. Just talk to your husbands. Tell them why you are doing this,…
  • Alberta, Canada actually.
  • Totally blah today. Stressed to the max, feeling down, trying to resist eating everything in my desk and guzzling pop. Even made myself a special coffee to try to get rid of the desire to snack on junk food but it didn't help. We can do it though. I just keep trying to push myself to last another 30 mins. Then another 30…
  • A Little bit of everything for me. I am sick of wearing clothes I don't like just because they fit me, or they hide my stomach. I hate looking at myself in the mirror. I am a volunteer firefighter so I would also like to be able to do my job better. I hate seeing girls on TV that have my old body and feeling jealous. I…
  • My husband just bought an entire container of croissants. OMG. I keep staring at them... "don't do it, don't do it, don't do it".
  • I've had the same problem with my weight for the past 2 years. Doesn't really go up or down. I found out that I just really sucked at logging, so I have started over completely, and lost 4 pounds last week. I am hoping for another 1.5 pounds this week, so I am trying really hard. I've been doing a lot of rebounding for…
  • Unfortunately the Vivoactive doesn't have a HR monitor in it, so I might as well buy a watch that I like the look of, since the vivoactive is pretty darn ugly. It's also even pricier than the Fitbit surge, and does less for me. I think it's looking like I will need 2 different pieces. I was just hoping someone had…
