Listen to your body, and not your brain. If your body wants to move, let it. If it wants to lie on the couch and not move, let it.

Chapman's fruit sorbet mmm... 80-90 cals per half cup, depending on the flavour. Also, (requires a tiny bit of meal prep - less if you buy precooked packs of chicken) - Superstore sells spiralized veggie "noodles", add a bit of sauce, some meat, and heat it all in a pan for a couple mins and done. Does 4 servings for just…

I am 5'5 and I was 165.5 when I started this almost 2 years ago. Currently 125, so it can be done! Feel free to add me if you want :)

I used to always have a sore lower back. It hasn't bothered me in months. (Other than 1 specific episode that had an actual cause) I think it was a combination of weight loss, and weight training that helped mine.

I would like to lose my last 5 lbs to hit goal. More important, I want to fix whatever is wrong with my neck and shoulders and get back to weight lifting at the gym. The weight is just the goal right now while I can't do much else for my body comp. I would be more than happy to stay this weight if I looked the way I want.

I have one of these at the place I work 3 days a week. Everyone laughed. And then the boss got one as well :D who is laughing now? I love standing. Lets me move around and walk and dance while I work, instead of just bouncing around in a chair.

My husband doesn't care to lose weight. He is supportive of my goals, but he eats what he wants, when he wants. If I cook, he eats it. He also eats lots of snacks and treats. It doesn't bother me. If he is eating something I want to, I just fit it into my calories, or shrug it off and eat it anyways and go back to my…

I walk through the woods, or on the beach (usually both) almost every day. Can't imagine living somewhere I couldn't do that. I get weird without my nature fix.

This is where I am at. I am working on dropping down to 120, and then going to try to either recomp, or bulk and build muscles. You might be interested in recomping, basically eating at maintenance while weight lifting, and your body will slowly get rid of the remaining fat while building muscle. I've read it can take a…

I've been having the same issue. Every time I start to get anywhere with my lifting, I hurt myself. I don't hurt myself while lifting, it has been something in the outside world that then affects my work outs :/ or RL comes in and stomps on me and forces me to miss enough work outs that I have to start all over again. It's…

Fitness blender has a ton of videos for different goals. Eat more calories, fit the pizza in, and actually enjoy your life. It's worth it in the long run.

My weekends for some reason are usually my best calorie days. I use them to make up for my lower weekday burns. I do get a lot of exercise on the weekends though as I try to get my dogs out for longer. Labour day weekend I walked 45km between Sat & Sun. Self employed so Monday was a work day for the first half of the day.…

I didn't think it was healthy, but I was still amazed at the calories in "1 serving" of shrimp pasta I had the other night at a restaurant. 1600 calories. Not counting the garlic toast they served with it, or the drinks I didn't have (I just stick with water). That's an entire day's worth of calories.... more than that for…

I know it's not the same thing to some people, but regarding children, there are always kids that need a loving home. You can always adopt a child who needs you as much as you need them :) you could still have a whole herd of little ones no matter what happens with your PCOS. I wish you luck finding ways to deal with…

Useful pockets, and more choices that AREN'T high waist, as I currently have a medical problem and all my high waist work out gear makes me feel like I constantly have to pee :'( but mostly pockets. I love and miss pockets.

I generally get about 800 calories extra from my daily 15,000+ steps. So far it seems fairly accurate as I eat according to what it shows I burn, and I haven't gained anything back. Most of those steps happen during fairly vigorous dog walks though. (11-18km at a moderate to fast pace)

I had something similar happen as well, at my wedding. During the actual ceremony I was able to listen to my husband's mother discussing whether or not I was pregnant or if I was just fat. I ignored it, but I've wished I hadn't ever since. Especially when my husband told me after he would have been on my side had I paused…

Yeah I went thrift store shopping for pants a few weeks ago, and fit everything from a 0 to an 8 depending on the brand. Very annoying to never have any idea what size to shop for, as even the pants that use waist measurements are completely different. Compared 2 pairs of 26 that were about the same cut, and one had at…

I hate when everyone else "knows better" than we do. It's only been 30+ years, but I'm sure you know me better than I do.

I find "I hate kids" works pretty well to end any conversation involving my uterus. Also, waiting on a call from my gyno to book in to get my tubes removed, so "hate kids and can't have them anyways" shall be the future reply. I'm very rude to most people as I feel it is nobody else's business if I choose to have them or…

I had a similar issue with my husband at first. So we had a talk about it, and then I ignored all of his jealousy after that talk until he had it reigned in and under control. Might not work in your situation, but it did work in mine.
-
This is exactly why I weigh myself every day.

Channel your lack of control over your fathers situation into controlling your own. That's what got me started losing weight 2 years ago. Everything else was crappy and I couldn't change it (not quickly at least) but my diet and exercise was something I could do right now.

Vancouver Island here, feel free to add me!

Doritos. So now I buy the boxes of tiny single serve bags. And just bring 1 bag to work at a time. No idea why I can't stop myself from eating all of a regular sized bag, but I can stop at 1 mini sized bag and not open another one (or 4), but it works so I don't question it.

Stronglifts 5x5 is also a good place to start. He has really informative videos and articles for each of the lifts. And a free app for using at the gym.

Just finished hiking Cape Scott a couple weekends ago. Was amazing and I already can't wait to go again next summer, and hopefully it will be faster.

Took me a while to see changes as I lost everywhere except my belly first, which only made it look bigger. Definitely take measurements for now so you can see the changes that way at least.

I generally just set mine to record a "workout" unless I am going to be doing something specific for a longer period of time (elliptical, treadmill, etc.). It seems fairly accurate so far. Low calorie burn for weight lifting, which is correct, and then higher when I do cardio things. In the beginning I compared it to stats…
