I log most of the time, to keep myself on track. I like to plan my day out and log everything first thing in the morning so it is easier to know what to do all day instead of winging it, and possibly screwing up.

*in on the giant group hug* I too am ever so thankful to have stumbled across a link to this group in a thread on the regular forums. I don't post much on the regular forums, except the fitness one, because I don't like the way arguments break out all the time. I think that'a hug drag. None of that happens here! You guys…

Well I did what I planned yesterday and it was a good day! I got a good shoulders/abs workout in with my hubby and daughter, stayed keto even with lunch out at the pub, did some housework, cooked some great stuff for dinner, spent an hour or so on my deck reading my new book, "Gardens of the Moon", and wound up exhausted…

I can't do jiggly fat either, ugh gross! But crispy fat is YUM

I keep things like pepperoni sticks & beef jerky around as well as those mini Babybel cheeses (0 carb) for fat and protein hits if I'm short a bit on my macros.

@canadjineh Very interesting! I live right near the USA - Canada border and I can attest to the fact that even though we are primarily a farming type of city, most of the people here go to the USA to buy dairy products because it is half the price. I'm not sure that article you quoted is necessarily bang on with the…

I know right? I've never seen anything LIKE this around these parts, and I'm so jealous!

Goals for the weekend: 1. One lifting workout each day on different targeted muscle groups 2. Rally the teenaged troops and clean the house 3. Grocery shopping and meal planning for the week ahead 4. Finally see my scale drop below 170 (this may or may not happen, but I'd sure like it to!) 5. Take some "me" time - I got a…

Ralf you totally crack me up :D

Cool to see it laid out visually like that!

Man perimenopause has me all kinds of messed up. I don't have a clue when "special lady time" is coming, how long it will last, what supplies I should have....it's a different animal every single time! Once it didn't show up for two months, which was great, although I kept having nightmares I was pregnant and that wasn't…

That's a good idea @ProCoffeenator - I might have to try this out myself. I'll let you know how it goes!

It is a big awakening when you come to the realization that you don't owe anyone an explanation for your choices. When people at work (and I have one particular coworker who tries to sabotage me often, disguising it as "being nice") offer me things that don't fit with my woe, I just say "no thanks". That's it. I don't…

I love my coffee with HWC & sugar substitute, and other than that I only drink water all day until my glass of wine at dinner. I keep telling myself to toss the wine, but so far I just...cant....do.....it...! Aaand it doesn't push me over on carbs at 3g per glass, so that's my excuse. XD

hahaha I was going to day, that's a lot of crabs! *chuckle*

I like what I eat on the keto diet, honestly. But if I have a carby day, I don't consider it a "cheat" - it's just a day where I indulged a little more than I should have. And let me say that when I choose something carby to indulge in, it is a definite CHOICE and is treated like an indulgence, as in - I do not punish…

You can also check out bodybuilding.com - you can put in what you're looking for and some details about yourself and be directed to a huge library of free lifting programs with video trainers on each exercise. It is a great resource!

Dumb bells don't allow the stronger arm to compensate for the weaker arm like a barbell does, and they also force you to use you core a bit more to stabilize yourself so you can control them. One suggestion I would make is to try the single arm dumbbell bench press, which gives you the freedom to use the off arm to help…

*crickets* LOL Just kidding! I haven't done that, but I have zero'd mine out a couple of times and even changed the batteries when I didn't like what it had to say, just in case it was fubar'd...

I track carbs, don't care about the calories. But my plan is to track it for awhile to make sure I'm not eating more carbs than I think I'm eating, and once I'm secure in that I will stop bothering. I find tracking every single thing makes me feel a little obsessive about everything I eat, and I don't like that.

That sounds great Phrick! Chai is one of my comfort things, I will have to try this!

Hey Samantha - that looks like a Vancouver phone number and address...are you Lower Mainland BC too?

This is my first week back to weight lifting after a two month hiatus due to injury. I did do some cardio in the interim, but I find cardio super boring so I wasn't very enthusiastic or regular with it. Yesterday was leg day, for the first time in a while, and this morning my butt is reminding me how long it's been!! I am…

Hope everything is going great for you, Lori, in spite of "lady time". If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat only add peri-menopause to that. Good times, I tell ya.

I've never seen or heard of dark chocolate liquid stevia, but I so want some now! Where did you find it?
-
You've got this, @PamamaJane ! I really like @Sunny_Bunny_ 's suggestion about the half-full bottles, that's a great idea. I have the same issue - if the bottle is open and it looks like no one is going to polish it off, or the bag of chips has just a few left, my OCD kicks in and I must...finish...! I've taken to trying…

No, but I will take a look at it now that you've brought it up! Tonight is Keto Swedish Meatballs, which I am really looking forward to :)

Happy birthday, @ProCoffeenator ! Hope all goes well for you today. I just want to say how much fun this thread has been to read through. There seem to be a lot of us on similar paths but all over the world - this is great! Wishing you all a beautiful day :)

Last night I tried out "Cracklin Chicken" from Nom Nom Paleo's website, and OMG! It was so good. I made it in bacon fat instead of ghee, with my own seasonings, but every single one of my kids AND my husband thought it was great! There were absolutely no leftovers, which was kind of disappointing because I wanted to take…
