  • Sometimes people will eat when they are dehydrated because they are misreading the signals their body is giving them. So it's important to listen to your body at the beginning of the process of changing eating habits so you can figure out the difference. If it's between meals and I feel hungry but I've had an ample amount…
  • I've also read about studies that say high cortisol release correlates with "belly fat." Being stressed does release cortisol and it's hard on your body, so no harm trying to lower that. I've also seen lots of anecdotal examples on these boards saying that belly fat is the last to go, so there's that as well. Keep in mind…
  • Been on it for about a year. Didn't notice anything for weight, but depression was better and energy went up. The first couple of weeks I was nauseous so didn't eat much, but that went away.
  • There isn't a setting if that's what you are asking.
  • Good luck!

  • Don't be embarrassed! If I've learned anything it's that watching what I eat is a ongoing process. I take my eye off the ball for a while and then swing back around. It's called life! What you should feel good about is you recognize the need for change and are doing something about it.

  • I ordered Sola bread from Amazon. It was by far the best low carb bread I've had. But it is pricey.
  • I have found the easiest way to handle those days is to preplan my day. If I know dinner will be high, I figure out what I will order (sometimes using other restuarants if they don't have info on their meals, I do the best I can to be accurate) and log it before I even eat breakfast. Then I choose the rest of the day…
  • If it fits into your carbs I'd say it's alright, but not the best nutritional source.
  • The only way to know is to reintroduce. But I would take it easy. I wouldn't eat every dairy food at the celebration. Choose one or two that really call to you and see how you feel the next day. I don't think one time will aggravate your acne, it takes consistency for mine to flare up, but everyone's different.
  • I don't blame you for being impatient, when you are working so hard, you want to see results, so I think it's natural. (from one impatient person to another :-) But from everything I've read on here it seems if you just stay the course, eventually you will start losing again. I've gone weeks with nothing and then had a big…
  • I love my gym! I felt like a total spaz when I started which is ridiculous because nobody cares. Everyone is doing their own thing. I'm trying to get over myself. congrats on taking the step!
  • It Starts with Food was fantastic by Melissa Hartwig.
  • I know this is an older post but thought I'd add my two cents. If you are eating a lot of dairy, which is easy on keto, you may be sensitive. I find that if I have it every day, I stop up cold. Back off the dairy and I'm literally good to go.
  • I googled it and used the low range.
  • Get in tune with how your body feels. If the food you are eating makes you physically feel good, then you are fine. Sticking with whole, real, unpackaged foods are always a safe bet.
  • Some of the 4.5 lbs is water, don't worry about it, just move on. I try to make as many food decisions as I can at the beginning of the day when willpower is strongest. I prelog what I am going to eat and stick to that plan. As many decisions as you can make at the beginning of the day the better as research tells us…
  • I have definitely noticed a difference in headaches since I eliminated what doesn't agree with my system. If I get a headache now I look back on what I ate and every time I've eaten something with wheat. Nutrition can solve or at least decrease many ailments and it's smart to look at that avenue instead of just treating…
  • I Feel so much better when eating this way. Best thing to do is give it a good try for at least 30 days and see how you feel.
  • Keep in mind that you lose a lot of water weight the first week of any plan, so that may be a lot of what your friend has lost. I generally try to eat lower carb, only because my body responds pretty well to that. (when I eat sugar and carbs my belly bloats like no ones business) It's possible to lose a lot of weight this…
  • He needs to get over it. Do what you do and ignore him.
  • I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. It sucks big time. I was diagnosed after my second baby and I'm still struggling some days. Know that there are people out there to support you and who are living with it and still able to thrive. You can add me as a friend if you like! I've noticed how I eat affects me…
  • I feel like the people on the speck in Horton Hears a Who. I'm here! I'm here! I'm heeeeere. I check in from time to time, but only if there are other posts as well. :)
  • “Our study shows that the symptoms reported by individuals with this condition are not imagined, as some people have suggested,” said study co-author Peter H. Green, MD, the Phyllis and Ivan Seidenberg Professor of Medicine at CUMC and director of the Celiac Disease Center. “It demonstrates that there is a biological basis…
  • They look fine to me, but I think it depends on what calorie amount you are eating and your weight as well. I mainly worry about carbs keeping it to under 100 and protein which is about 110 grams. I weigh 136. So I'd say up your protein and try to keep carbs around the same. But you have to figure out what works for you.…
  • Yum this all sounds great. I finally found a recipe that I'm obsessed with right now for paleo snickerdoodles. The first one that actually can pass as a cookie and not leave me sad and confused.
