I am not from Ohio, but I spend most of my time there! :) My bf lives in Wooster, so I am often found mincing around the area. Although, I am starting to love the Cincinnati/Dayton area, too! Feel free to add me! I would like to share more stories of the weight-loss journey!

THIS IS IT. I am a tough love kind of person and this is exactly what someone like me would need to hear. Thanks for being a voice of reason.

That would've actually been helpful. But, as the people that I work with seem to be lacking any sex appeal at all, it would've been hard to even give them away.

I'm not sure that I understand what the OP was looking for with this comment or this thread. Are you looking for validation that you're allowed to feel what you're feeling about someone you don't know? Are you looking for camaraderie with other people that lack compassion like you do? This is a site for people to lose…

I guess I am a bit past starting, but I feel like everyday is a chance to start something that you've never done before, right? I officially started tracking again November 2, after being the heaviest that I have ever been this past summer. The accountability is fantastic, and now that I was gifted a FitBit, I'm really…

I recently had to make a very tough decision about a pet that I loved dearly. Instead of eating myself into oblivion because of the heartache, I stayed on track. I have a LONG way to go, but I am proud of this week, for sure.

Truthfully, I haven't eaten one in probably 2 years. I was fit to be tied when they reduced the size, inflated the price and had the NERVE to let Yankee Candle use their cookie names for cookie-scented candles. Insanity.

I'm okay with that. I am terrible with queues...and not a frequent poster.

Am I the only one that feels that if this post is legitimate that self-destructive impulses like this need to be worked with in therapy? Being fat doesn't start with your stomach...it starts with your brain. If you can sincerely not control yourself with food, you need to consider WHY this is happening...not just how to…

I have the videos, but I don't have the VCR anymore. Bummer. I'm not sure if I can find his stuff on Youtube, though. I loved doing the workouts and I find Richard to be an incredibly inspirational person with a heart of gold. So many people make fun of him and I never understood why. He does incredible work. Haters gonna…

I have visited with a surgeon and started the lifestyle classes for the surgery, but I will most likely not get it for a variety of reasons. I don't want to discourage anyone on the boards, though, so if you want to chat about it and what I have discovered would be my main issues with it, feel free to pm me. Ultimately,…

That is the best advice, EVER! Patience and consistency are the key. For me, it almost gets to the point of seeing yourself as completely worth it, but removing the emotional attachment to how you got this way...if that makes sense. Basically, you look at losing weight like a task, instead of like a devastating moment in…

Pittsburgh, PA The land where you put French Fries on a salad and pierogies run rampant.

I have an open diary as well, but I rarely hit the day complete button because I forget. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

I just came back from drooling in front of the vending machine. Can I be included?
-
Feel free to add me as well. My Diary is open. I've found looking at everyone's diaries has been really helpful.

I know I'm not playing correctly, but this quote wins all the things.

There's a tumblr blog called motive weight. It's mainly before and after pictures, but it is motivating!

This is extremely helpful, Thank You. I am looking for answers/advice from people that are using this tool and have had these experiences prior. I appreciate any and all feedback while I research.
-
No. Currently just using the suggested calories on MFP, exercising and considering all options with no final decisions yet. I am excited about the progress that I've made with this tool, so if I can keep losing, ramp up movement and lose more...then that would be awesome.

I've been reading studies about those that do not have surgery and those that do, but the results are kind of underwhelming in both instances, so getting information from those that have actually done it, versus mice that have done it (just saying) is helpful.
-
No rush. Just looking for information and experience of other people that have or haven't done it. Also, the reason to consult a surgeon is because if I even did decide to have the surgery, insurance requires at least six months worth of lifestyle classes and food-logging. It's more preparation than anything. My thought…

I understand the risks and wouldn't do it without supervision. The question is, what is the difference between having the surgery to restrict calories...and just restricting calories? What is the benefit of the surgery if you're able to restrict and supplement without it?

I'm back on the wagon and logging-in everyday. I have an open diary, and could use any advice anyone is willing to give. I need the accountability!
