I'm English :) What's the 100 day challenge?

Instead of buying chicken pieces, but a whole chicken for Sunday roast, and left overs for salad and casserole, then use the carcass to make soup. Use seasonal fruit and veg as these will be much cheaper than stuff that's been flown half way around the world.

Yep, nutritional yeast is packed with the stuff. Very versatile too, you can make a great ' cheesy ' spread by adding it to pale misoand a few other things.

You don't need supplements if you eat a varied diet. Make sure you eat plenty of leafy greens as they're packed with iron. Eggs will provide b12. turn to tofu (really easy to make), seitan, nuts and seeds (in moderation), pulses (chickpeas, lentils, etc). Quorn is high in protein. Why are you choosing a vegetarian diet?…

Are you eating takeaways because you like them, or to save time? Because there are shortcuts to making home versions of take away food. Do you like eggs? Frittata is easy to make and you can use up whatever you have on your fridge. It keeps well too, so you can have left offers for lunch or reheat for supper a day or two…

I make loads of food for the freezer - soups, curries, chilli, quiches, pies. It saves time later on and is much more economical.

I'm vegetarian, and was vegan for a long time.

What are you eating currently?

Me too :)

Spinach, soft cheese, avocado, seeds, celery, mushroom, French dressing - tasty and filling :)

Steamed and topped with a blue cheese sauce. Make a soup, with a little peanut butter blended in. Sir fried with water chestnuts, chilli, lime juice and soya sauce. Raw, with salsa, guacamole and yogurt dressing. Blanched, then mixed with sauteed onion and mushroom, covered in cream and baked until tender.

I have natural strained or Greek yogurt topped with toasted slivered almonds, toasted pumpkin seeds, linseeds, a few raspberries (frozen are fine out of season), and a drizzle of cream - delicious and filling. Berries are a good alternative to fruit - nutrient rich and far lower sugars.

Take a look on dietdoctors.com, there are masses of great recipes that would suit you xx

I've just started, day 4/5. feeling wildly tired and lethargic a couple of those days as my body is getting used to having none of it's usual major energy source (I was (am?) a carb *kitten*!). Really cold at night too, which is really not like me.

I have just started LCHF (day 5or 6 so really new!) Have been on and off diets forever. Have been off for a couple of years, getting bigger and bigger and just being in denial basically. Bread (and all carbs really) have been my major fall down. Although I also love to cook and can be a glutton, so that doesn't help.
