  • Well, better late than never. I rarely get out on these message boards but this is one I like to follow. I have been averaging 10,000 steps a day for the first time since last summer. I started in mid-November and was only getting about 6,000 a day. I kept increasing until I got up to 10,000. Now I get at LEAST that every…
  • Please add me! Just turned 57 years old and put weight back on after quitting smoking and a bout of depression. I need all the support I can get, I live alone with rescue dogs.
  • I have been out of the loop since July. I had a death in the family and lost my job all in a short period of time. I just reached my one year anniversary of not smoking but am the heaviest I have ever been. I have been this heavy before as my 'before' pix show. My goals for Nov are starting over. 1-Track food. 2-Walk at…
  • I am new to the message boards. I had a death in the family in late June. It really knocks you back a step. I was doing really well, eating clean and walking about 10,000 steps a day. The month of July started off bad but I just got back on track this week. Goals for the month are low. Get back on track. Thanks for the…
  • I love this post! Thanks! I am on-track since the first of the year. (For the most part)
  • I am right there with ya' my friend. I am walking with an incline versus running but I decided to work through it as long as I am able. Feeling a little better today than yesterday, but slept for 8.5 hours! I say, push the fluids and get more sleep. It's amazing what a good night's sleep will do!
  • Wow! You look amazing! WTG! How inspiring!
  • I am back after being away for a long time. I quit smoking at the end of 2016 and gained the weight to prove it. LOL. Thanks for the inspiration and for the tip about bookmarking the discussion. I was not aware of this and it will be a great help! Happy New Year!
  • I feel the knee pain! I had to have an arthroscopy done on one of my knees before after trying to work thru the pain for several weeks. Please take it slow and be careful. I am only doing about 30 mins of walking at 3 mph daily with no incline. I am noticing just a tinge of pain after the first week, so I might even back…
  • I need support and am always looking for positive people. Thanks!
  • I quit smoking for 2 years the first time with chantix. I did use food as a crutch, though. Once I was a 'non-smoker' I went back and lost the weight. Some of the best advice/tips I was given are: "losing weight will be easy compared to quitting smoking". I agree 100% with this even though I am only 52 days in to my second…
  • 50+ Active WW. Lost 30 lbs since May.
  • I am 55 and have been losing very slowly, but steady! Slow and steady wins the race! I am down 30 lbs in 6 months. Even tho the 'after' pic is older, I am only about 15-20 lbs from where I need to be.
  • New to MFP over 50 and current WW member. The new 'look and feel' WW has just rolled out for their 'etools' is just a mess. It's still in the beta version so more changes to come? Well, let's just say I attribute my success to a great meeting leader and the weigh ins that hold me accountable. I look forward to using MFP…
  • I have been doing WW for 6 months and have lost 30 lbs. I think the meetings and weigh ins hold me accountable. I am here due to the recent changes to etools which as of this moment I hate. I tracked every day whether over my 'points' or not. I am hoping WW will take some constructive criticism and take the 'feedback'…
  • Don't get me wrong, I know change is good and it may just be an adjustment period. They are accepting feedback but I have read online that many others are unhappy with it. I will go to my meeting and weigh in today. I think a big part of my success was being held accountable through the weigh ins. Thanks for commenting. I…
  • WW just made some HUGE changes to etools! They took away 'healthy checks', the graphs, community is almost impossible to find. Oh, it's all pretty and stuff but user friendly? Well, let's just say here I am on MFP.
