for real? lol

Someone else helpfully answered for me :) Now, with eating around 1,400 calories per day, you should lose, steadily, week in and week out, regardless of exercise (assuming that's you in your picture). However, just one day of eating "off" the diet, like maybe 5,000 calories for just one day a week (which is remarkably easy…

I am almost your calorie twin - I eat around 1,350 calories per day, but I walk around 1-2 miles per day (very leisurely), so I count it as around 1,300 calories per day. And this is a great way to slowly lose weight - I lose between 1-2 pounds per week, on average - and it's perfect for avoiding feelings of hunger and…

Actually, there's an article in the New York Times about that: "Seats were 18 inches wide before airline deregulation in the 1970s and have since been whittled to 16 and a half inches, he said, while seat pitch used to be 35 inches and has decreased to about 31 inches. At the same time, the average man is 30 pounds heavier…

You might want to consider CICO, too.
-
It's similar, from what I briefly read - this is mostly a guess on my part. Basically, I just find that this seems to work most easily for me, since I'm also in the CICO group

I eat them at the mall when I'm stuck there for a while, and get grab something low carb from the coffee bean, like coffee/espresso, too
-
To piggyback on your comment again, I *love* salty broth! It's one of my main staples - high in salt and fat, helps with fluid retention, gets rid of a lot of brain fog, I love it!
-
That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying it.

I tend to eat like, 50-100 g of carbs per day, and I find it's easiest to maintain this WOE on that. Although my WOE is slightly different, as I tend to have maybe a 60/20/20 PFC ratio :/
-
What I do is tend to present my viewpoint, listen to their viewpoint, and then I say, "Okay." Then they marvel (even 3 days ago) "oh, you look good." @.@
-
What do you think of blackberries (anyone)?
-
I find that eating pre-cooked, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs are a great snack (2 per package, like a no carb, high fat, moderate protein treat) and they even sell them nowadays at supermarkets. I wonder if I could also stick to this WOE on vacation with those eggs.

Not to seem weird, but I'm NOT an employee at a call center, and I've called MANY of them, only to get some script that addresses the topic of my inquiry, but not the substance of it. What's up with that?
-
So just to piggyback on what others are saying, I like eating a meal at 9pm, which helps me feel full when I'm going to go to sleep soon thereafter, and also (like others) I don't exercise for hours before I go to sleep.
-
Enjoy! I think you'll like them - it's like eating cookies to lose weight :D
-
I regularly drink hot beverages with tons of Splenda - it has 1 carb per packet, and I count those. It's probably the main source of my carbs.
-
New 'do looks good!
-
I like Splenda, and I've made a variation of chocolate meringue cookies with Splenda. Those were good! This is a link to a recipe for it with Splenda: http://www.food.com/recipe/south-beach-diet-friendly-chocolate-meringue-cookies-353514

Congratulations to you all!!! I'm losing too. I love low carb!

Hi, I didn't mean to threadjack the other one; I'm focusing on the holidays in general, not just Xmas - so this includes New Years, Christmas Eve, etc etc. Like today I went off my diet since my in-laws are here, and I just polished off a tray of blueberry muffins. LOL I think I inhaled them! :O

I'm about halfway to my goal weight; I need to lose another 50 pounds or so, first. I started off obese and in the 200s. When I reach my gw, my goal was originally to see how much booze it would take me to get drunk, since I expected that my tolerance would be lower by a large amount. But now I have a 4 month old daughter,…

You asked for it  A couple of disclaimers - 1) the author is a Stanford-educated M.D. and he gets really technical here, and 2) TL;DR (for both parts of this article) - nutritional ketosis can lead to improved cardio performance and improved strength performance (like running on a treadmill or lifting weights,…

I'm not a doctor, but according to the research I've done on this subject, I found this article: http://eatingacademy.com/nutrition/is-ketosis-dangerous ... it is a very good discussion of the science behind ketosis - I did some research recently for an unrelated matter - I had already read from a book written by doctors…

Personally, I find that exercise while fasting is not good for my body, but I can't speak as to whether others should try it. For myself, I would get ravenously hungry, light-headed, cranky (hangry), and wind up eating more calories than I would have otherwise, if I had simply eaten regularly and had adequate protein…

This could be serious. I concur with the poster above who suggested seeing a doctor. Also, you may want to consult with a dentist.
-
thanks and congrats :)
-
Did you need to take the B energy complex supplement too, to feel better?
-
Ya'll have been so helpful to me, please allow me the chance to return the favor, if I can. Although the nutrition facts say that, for example, a packet of Splenda has 0 calories and less than 1 gram of carbohydrate, in reality it apparently has 4 calories and 0.9 carbs per packet. I can dig up the source if necessary. So…

I'm in the minority here, but I force myself to eat when I'm not hungry. I know, this is weird, but it works for me. I'm just sharing my own experience, and I'm happy that not eating when not hungry works out for others :) Logically, what they're doing makes sense; eating when not hungry just works better in my own…
