After spending 2 weeks in an ICU with Covid-19, I had a hard time standing on my feet. My first mini goal is to be able to do all the normal daily things and I think I'm very close to achieving it. My other goal is to feel healthy and confident for a huge exam I'm sitting in May. I don't even have anything to wear for the…

Hello everyone! I've been on my fitness pal since 2016 and I lost a lot of weight the healthy way. A bit than a year later, after I had maintained for a few months, I kind of gave it up. I kept some of the healthy habits for a while and even though I started gaining weight back, I wasn't worried. This winter everything…

I guess you haven't found what works best for you, that's why you keep failing. If you eat too little and exercise too much, of course you wouldn't stay on track. Here's where to start: find friends on My fitness pal. Log daily and see what they're doing. Not everyone is the same and maybe it won't work for you but the…

HI. I'm 26 and I used to weigh 228 lbs after the birth of my child. I've lost 50 lbs so far and going for more. You can add me :)
-
Don't know about your age but your profile picture is awesome

Sounds nice! As for steps I don't promise I'll count them right cause I don't own a fitbit, maybe I'll try with an app :) Anyway, I've been here for 7 months and I haven't added any new friends in a while so it would be nice to meet new people who will stay in the long run

Have you tried HASfit on YouTube?

Wow, just wow. Great job! I can relate to your story: after years of going up and down, I gained a lot during pregnancy and thought it would magically come off but it didn't. I also found I was miserable and wanted to be happy. Starting weight was also 228 lbs,now I'm 175 and always looking for motivation to keep going. I…

Hey! Last time I posted I had lost 27 lbs, and now it's 39 lbs. I made new before and afters and decided to post here.

Cw: 85.0 kg

Final update: Cw 85 kg(187 lbs) Can't believe I did it! 20 lbs lost in this challenge.

Here is my advice on making this time different: don't overdo it and don't set a deadline for your weight loss. Believe it or not, there will be days when you can't exercise or when you can't eat right. At the beginning everyone is enthusiastic, sometimes so much that at some point they can't keep up, get discouraged and…

I guess if you're withing your limit over a 24 hour period it's fine. Weigh yourself after you go to the bathroom if you haven't eaten for a few hours. Like if you have slept 5 to 9 a.m. it looks fine to step on the scale at 9.

Good question. I haven't bought any clothes since December and now my mom wants to give me some money to go shopping for my birthday next month but I still have 26 lbs to go. I've got some old clothes from before I gained all of weight (66 lbs) but most of them don't fit yet. Basically, I'm wearing things that are either…

Hey there @BoomstickChik . I had only one pregnancy but I also started 228 lbs , now 188. As you're asking about FAT, not loose skin, I think fat can go away without surgery. As a doctor I can tell you that after 4 pregnancies not everything you see in your tummy area is fat and skin. Multiple pregnancies make the…

Good luck! You can make it! I have 26 lbs to go till final goal but I don't have a very specific deadline.

I think after losing about 20 lbs I could finally feel that I've lost something. After 30 lbs lost I felt really weird like a part of my body was missing lol This took me about 4 months. Same goes to others. They first noticed the 20 lbs loss then they were amazed at 30 plus loss. Right now I'm already used to the changes…

Do you work out? Do you measure your chest, waist, and arms? Did you calculate your body fat percentage?
-
It can be done especially for tracking macros. I will definitely use mfp with my next pregnancy. The healthier you eat, the better for baby and mom. :)

Nice one, too

Rude but somehow quite true

@brb_2013 I also had problems with boys mostly. Sometimes girls mocked my clothes but were never that aggressive. I find the "slut" shaming strange because I have never ever seen anyone at school mock a girl for sleeping with someone or posting pics in underwear. Kids in my country tend to be cruel to virgins more often…

Can't find it :(

@brb_2013 why do you think they were right? I'm so sorry to what happened to you

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the advice, and I hope some of the people who replied would see this. First of all, this was so not about pink shirts. Did I say anything about wearing pink except for pointing out the fact that this is what the day was called? Keep calm. Then, I don't understand why I should feel…

Mostly, I browse my fitness pal :) It has been helping a lot for the last 4 months. I look at my diary, at my friends' posts, at what I posted in my blog, my progress pics, the success stories in the forums. I'm trying to brake the connection between food and happiness in general (while still allowing myself to enjoy…
