My goals for July is to keep my carbs under 75g everyday (NO EXCUSES!!). I really need to get my food back on track. Hopefully I will be lower most days but I'm setting the ceiling high to increase my chances of success right now.

I guess I was fortunate enough to not get diarrhea but the cramping and bloating was more extreme than I have ever experienced before. I've learned my lesson sugar alcohols are EVIL. I still can't get over that 3 chocolates made me feel so incredibly awful.

When you just ate a quarter cup of cream cheese ... straight up with a spoon... like a small bowl of ice cream ... lol :open_mouth:

A coworker brought in homemade mac n cheese the other day. He put a little ketchup on it and even though I was nowhere near all I could smell was the sweet ketchup. Nobody could get over how I could smell it. I was in the next room complaining how the place stunk of ketchup...lol

I'm pretty sure there was more behind John Candy's death than just bacon. He was morbidly obese for years and had some other questionable habits as well.

My family is hardly low carb but have definitely been eating less carbs since I started eating LCHF.

Today was a coworkers 60th birthday. Not only did I politely turn down the cake but I also legitimately DID NOT WANT IT. I have never not wanted to eat the cake. In the past I may have even snuck a second piece. I felt great all day long because of it.

When events like these come up for me I usually just set a higher carb limit for the day. Maybe something like 75g carbs for the day. It keeps me enough in line that I don't lose control of my innner carb loving beast. But not everyone finds this as easy to control.

My biggest advice is to read the LCD launchpad up in the announcement section. Tons of great info for low carbing. There is also lots of very helpful and well informed people who are willing to help in the group. Most importantly increase your sodium to prevent dehydration (aka keto flu). I had a hand held one at first from the local dollar store. It did the job when I wanted to see if I liked zucchini noodles but found it hard to clean as I dong have a dishwasher. I've since invested in the counter top one and love it.

I agree with this here. I have at times eaten leftover chicken thighs for breakfast...lol. But now I hardly ever eat before 1pm. Cheese omelette cooked in coconut oil and topped with 2 Tbs of salsa. Paired with some sliced avocado and a few salami slices on the side. I'm stuffed!!

He most certainly can jump right in if he wants. He will enter ketosis faster this way. If you increase the sodium intake right away the pesky "Keto flu" will probably be avoided. We don't get kids in my building on Halloween. I do however send little loot bags to school for my daughters class. In each one the kids get 2 peanut free candies, a Halloween themed pencil and eraser and a couple stickers.

I was straitening my hair this morning and for the first time in a while I didn't feel disgusted by the person in the mirror looking back at me. I actually thought I looked pretty today.
