Thanks for the ideas. I've done that too, have a cup of hot tea while everyone is having their yummy indulgence, it can be quite calming and centering. I've also eaten celery to stave my appetite or a few carrots. When ppl are eating chips at the restaurant or bread, I order a salad. Thanks for getting my juices flowing…

I know how you feel, ever since I turned 40, over 5 years ago, I've noticed my metabolism is not at all the same and I can't seem to lose weight. I'm hopeful that logging my food and exercise will help me see where I self sabotage and become more aware of the long term changes I need to make. Good luck!

Thanks that was helpful. In terms of exercise I was referring to the additional work out I'm doing on an almost daily basis, like spin class or Zumba, etc.

I can so relate, I still have baby weight 11 years later. I work full time, raise 2 kids, 2 dogs and love good food. I'm with you, have 50 lb to lose by June. Good luck!
