I was the same way for years. Then my doc said if nothing changes I'll be dead in 5 years. That's what I needed to put things in perspective. Hopefully you won't get to that point. I now look at feeling hungry as the new normal and positive reinforcement that I'm on the right track. What has been so great about this site…

I keep mine open and don't care who reads it. My results so far speak for themselves and anyone who has a problem can go f-themselves.

Sleep eating ;)

There is another post here about the same thing. Bottom line the consensus seems to be: Don't nag him to death about it, it's up to you to control your own food intake. Either eating healthier food, or smaller portions of the badder food. You don't have to give up bad food, just limit your portion sizes and accurately…

Water, diet pop, spices, I track salt and condiments because I'm watching sodium levels as much as I can and also condiments can quickly add a ton of calories.

She's 115lbs and she's trying to lose weight....you should be asking her how tall she is because unless she is under 5 feet she is probably at goal. It sounds like you should be working on toning your body instead of losing weight.

The logging is crucial. Gotta weigh your food and get accurate calorie counts. It's really really easy to under estimate how much you are eating by guessing or using cups or portion or serving sizes. Some things are less crucial ie a cup of broccoli v 1.25 cups. But inaccurately recording calorie dense foods can add…

Ok just have to say.... It's through not threw! Threw = I threw the ball Through = I'm going through something That said, you have to start making changes for yourself and not let him distract you. Hopefully he will come around as he sees you losing weight and want to join you. I have been having the same issue with my gf…

I think it varies person to person. For someone like myself who has a lot of weight to lose, cheat days and not logging is just setting me up for failure. Not paying attention to what I was taking in led me to my current weight. Now it's essential that I take ownership of my eating habits at all times. If I'm going to go…

I also quit cold turkey. I drink diet pop a bit but nothing like I used to. You just kind of have to get fed up and say no more. The first couple days are bad for caffeine withdrawal.... Then the next couple weeks are tough with the sugar. But after that you pretty much stop thinking about sugary pop

I've had "thyroid problems" all my life including a giant goiter that covered my whole throat from clavicle up around to the ears. They said it was 1.5 pounds when they surgically removed it. Not saying it isn't a challenge getting synthroid levels right and getting cravings under control. But I didn't start losing weight…

People like lying to themselves.... They don't want to admit they are fat and do something about it. I never thought it really mattered to women what size was on the tag, just that it fit well and flattered their body type. Boy was I wrong, women will stuff themselves into clothing not meant to restrain such forces just so…

I worked in the women's fashion industry for 4 years. There is absolutely no standards In sizing, it is completely arbitrary based on what the designer wants it to be. Even the same brand and style of pants can fit differently in different sizes. There is a terrible thing called "vanity sizing" designed to sell women…

It eliminates up to 1/3 of the fat calories you eat by attaching to them and preventing it from being absorbed by your intestines. The result is that if you eat a fatty diet you will hate life as you will be leaking a noxious burning tire smelling orange grease from your *kitten* staining clothing and bedding. Every time…

I was talking once a week etc if you had a really bad hunger pang.... And I said alieve but I meant any type of otc pain killer seems to help for me. I also didn't mean to take a handful of them either. If you have studies showing that taking a recommended dose of alieve once or twice a week is going to cause stomach…

Ok you are 100% right and you win the Internet for the day! Does that make you happy? Please don't reply to any more of my posts.

You don't consider severe hunger pangs to be pain? I didn't suggest to use it all the time, just when the pangs are so bad it's keeping you awake.
-
I'm not recommending this or even know if it's a good idea, but sometimes when I get bad cravings at night I'll take a couple of alieve and I find within half an hour or so the cravings diminish long enough for me to get to sleep. But I try to make sure I save enough calories from my day so that I can have a protein bar an…

If the premium version would allow you to make a recipie and send it to others so they don't have to find and add all the ingredients over again I would gladly pay for it! It's a huge pain in the *kitten* not being able to share recipies.

Today was a delicious day..... But not a good day... Tomorrow I'll be back on the wagon.

I mix and match protein bars and meal replacement shakes quite a lot. But it's not because I can't/won't make something. It's because I'm not usually hungry in the morning, but I do my best to put some calories in to help jump start the day. I also find it is convenient when I need calories but don't want to fill up.…

I hate the taste of diet soda, but I love the fizzy bubbles... So I drink Diet Coke now to satisfy the craving for bubbles. I used to drink a ton of sugary pop, but managed to stop cold turkey.

I'm a big guy, so I went out and bought an industrial digital scale. Best scale purchase ever!! That beast will last a lifetime. Not cheap but I know it's 100% accurate.

I'm not sure what your point is?

It's a bit misleading to say "gained 2 pounds in one meal" they may have eaten 2 pounds of food in one meal, which isn't really that bad considering those eating contests you see online often have people eating 5-7pounds of food at a time. So technically they are 2 pounds heavier at the end of the meal... But by the next…

It's one of those meals you have to ask yourself..... Is it worth eating like a pauper for the rest of the day? If so then enjoy it and savour every bite!! Based on my mood today.... I'd eat the burger!!!!
-
I understand what she means by panic..... When you really commit to losing weight you worry about every meal.... I think it's actually kind of healthy and shows you care a lot about making this work. Yes in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal, but when you have gone for years with poor self control and portion…

If you want more nutrients and calories try high protien meal replacement shakes. I try to have one for breakfast every day, that or a protien bar. But a good quality low calorie protien powder is a good way to add protien without all the calories

I know I'm going to have to fight with my endo to even get him to consider it.

Not dying is a pretty good motivation for me right now lol.
