Theres your way and theres the way where you actually see significant consistent results.

Yes mixing up your routine as in getting on a new plan after being on another one for a long period. But just going into the gym and doing random exercises wont be nearly as effective as following a routine. Besides it takes awhile for your body to adapt to a program.

As you lose weight you want to do progressive resistance training, this will help you retain muscle as you lose weight. Instead of focusing on those spefici areas id recommend a workout plan that works all muscle groups. Bodybuilding.com has tons of programs to follow. Stronglifts 5x5 is also very popular. If you want you…

Some PF have them but most dont, they only have smith machines which arent really good for anything. Also dont just mix it up, thats terrible advice. OP get on a well established premade program that utilizes compound lifts or a bodyweight program.

Weight loss comes from diet, so that is whats most important. Youre somewhat limited at PF because tbey dont have squat racks. Id recommend either a good dumbbell or body weight program. During weight loss you want a progressive resistance program to help retain muscle.

Im guessing these toxins youre refering too is lactic acid which is in your muscle especially after exercise. Water will help flush it out and reduce soreness, and massages help at well. I havent research lactic acid much so hopefully my post isnt misleading into wrong information. The above i got from my days on swim team…

Maybe their workout videos helped you improve fitness/burn more calories for weight loss but that couldve been done with out them. As for shakeology it is extremely low quality and full of *kitten* that does nothing. Congrats on your improved health but you couldve done it with out beach body for a lot cheaper.

Lmfao this was fantastic! Just 5 minutes a day and your butt will magically become amazing!

What helped me was being super strict with my diet during regular meals so that when things came up on the weekend like going out to dinner, going to parties, or ordering cheap chinese food I didnt need to worry about it. Make use of your campus gym. Also find the healthy food options (my college had a salad build your own…

First of all, very impressive. Secondly good! Because i like seeing her progress and get stronger, also gotta love that glute progress lol.

Lol and here i am forcing my fiance to throw on more weight (helped her get to squating 145 with perfect form, deep squats). I better tell her to just starting doing the bar though so she doesnt start looking like a guy... (does that mean women who squat heavy grow male genitals?)

I have an inhalor i take before cardio that totally treats mine. I have exercise induced asthma

I like this ^ well said!

I think ill keep eating my fruits thanks....

Good advice above. I would say if you havent lost in months your CICO is probably off. Really lock down your calorie tracking and the weight should come off without needing exercise. That being said keep up the exercise its great for overall health. If you decide you cant afford the trainer maybe you can find a friend to…

I agree with most of this! A few slight things id add/change tho. In respects to cardio, do cardio for the heart and health benefits not the weight loss, you can do the same kind of cardio and be fine. Also in respects to weighing yourself that really depends on the person. Some like to weigh themselves less some more.…

Are you sure your tracking is accurate? Are you weighing everything with a food scale, and not leaving anything out of your dairly?

Increasing muscle mass.

Not to mention this gets asked every other day... use the search people and read the answer from the 5 million other threads asking this...

Im going to say this as general advice for best results get a structured program that uses compound lifts (not machines, free weights). Probably for a beginner a full body or a upper lower split would be good but you could do like a push pull legs if you wanted as well. If you only have 2 days a week i would do 2 full body…

Two comments above seem to cover it... Personally i go with the protien and creatine. Id say skip the BCAAs. And i have no experience with beta-alanine.
-
Bodybuilding.com pick a premade plan will be better then one of us making one up for you. Weight lifting is great during wieght loss.
-
I disagree completely... OP youre post above sounded like a great plan.

You didnt gain weight back from eating carbs you gained weight from being in a calorie surplus. You can lose weight with carbs, use a food scale track everything you eat, and eat a variety of foods. Also exercise is for health not weight loss so just start with the calorie tracking.

People who use the assisted pull up/dip machine for leg exercises.... thats not whats its for and there is a machine across the gym thats actually made for that.
-
Skip the bcaa. From my personal experience i saw no change going from not taking them to taking them and no change from taking them to not again. As for whey take it if you cant get enough protien from food, sumple as that. For me i use a whey suppliment because i wouldnt get enough otherwise.

Very nice!

If youre just looking to stay healthy that looks really good to me (assuming youre on a structured weights program).

Went from a swimmer in high school with close to a six pack weighing 150 to my junior year of college weighing 197 and starting to look really chubby. (I lifted though college but didnt make use of compound lifts and mostly did arms and chest also a serious leg skip offender). Then my senior year of college i learned how…
