I made it through a complete Les Mills body combat group class (twice so far) and a spin class, three months ago that would have been impossible.

Sounds high to me I am 259, 6'0" and 46 years old and set at 1650 for 2 pound loss. I am down 40 pounds using this model.

I have the surge (HR abilities) it is almost dead on with the treadmill and the recumbent bikes hr monitor. I think HR types are better due to calorie expenditure tracking.

Everyone is different in terms of personal satisfaction (happiness?) with weight, family life, work, etc. All I have is my personal experiences of being on this planet for 46 years. I have to say in all of my interactions I have never met someone who is truly happy with their physical self at 50+ pounds overweight. People…

Calculated (as you said) 1612 BMR, active job with 12,000 steps (5+ miles walking) I calculate TDEE at (multiplied by 1.4) 2256. If its 1400 max a day input you should see 1.7 pounds a week. I was religious about logging and underestimating and had a 3 week plateau. Sometimes out bodies fight us. Keep fighting you have…

Which protein powder do you use? I use body Fortress Super advanced whey, I buy it at Wal-Mart, I have tried a lot of different ones and I like the taste of this and it is really soluble in water or milk. Its relatively cheap and I can get it at any Wally World Also, I have a question about multi-vitamins. After a few days…

3500 is a pound so 50-200 a day is relatively small in a week, there is probably error in measurements and exercise expenditure. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as you are under and not so hungry you want to give up it should all come out in the wash so to speak. You theoretically should lose the extra weight in that…

Ancient quote I always liked: "The best time to plant a tree is a hundred years ago, the second best time is today" I was 299 pounds 3 months ago, 264 today and I feel amazing. You are doing good keep it up! excellence is doing a lot of small choices correctly. Rob

Too lazy for me to try to figure the math out, I go in 24 hour sessions. You trash a day then get back on the horse the next. I do plan throughout the day for a big dinner (If I have warning it is coming up). Good luck! Of course as with many MFP posts its just my opinion and there are a million ways to drop weight, hang…

Hey Amanda welcome to MFP. I am sure you will get a ton of tips. I can give you a couple things that have worked for me. (I am down 35 pounds in 75ish days). I have pretty poor will power but desperation has driven me to make some changes. One change was to stop eating off of the 'roach coach" food truck that came to work…

37, female 263, 5' 4" is BMR of 1863 (that's basically what you need if you were bedridden) multiply by 1.2 for activity level 2235 TDEE, so if you eat 1580 a day that's a deficit of 656 a day (times 7 days = 4596) dived that by a pound (3500 calories) you would theoretically lose 1.3 pounds a week. Up the exercise a…

Start at 300 pounds, lost 26 the first month. Second month 7.7

I think you are doing great, to do an accurate assessment we need height, activity level and current weight. If I made a guess just to show you how this works a 5'6" female 25 years old at 200 pounds BMR is 1835 calories a day, add in activity (multiply by 1.2 for a desk job) TDEE is 2202, I see you are burning 500-700…

your profile says you are 29.......so what's the story?
