I agree with one of the posters above that your torso/abdomen looks significantly different to me. I've been doing the 80 Day Obsession workouts and I really like them, but my goal is more personal fitness related and not weight loss related as I've been in maintenance for quite some time. I'm on week 3. It's my first time…

I don't eat the exact same thing every day, but do I have a sort of rotation. I don't care too much about macros except I do maintain a moderate to high carb diet so my lunches typically have a decent amount of carbs. My calorie goal for lunch is typically to stay between 250 and 400, as I prefer a larger dinner. In any…

You are doing great! It's such a great thing to be able to get past the really hard part and start really being able to see the good things that happen in your life when you quit. I quit in September 2016. I tried to quit so many times on my own and just kept failing. I ended up taking Chantix to quit, and it was the best…

M-F, something like this: 150 breakfast 400 lunch 150 snack 600 dinner 100 dessert Give or take depending on if I have exercised that day or not. If so, then a little more. If no exercise, a little less. Weekends are highly variable. Husband and I typically go out to dinner on Saturday nights, so I'll eat very lightly…

This really fits me to a T. I have found that eating with a distraction works better for me. Because I go through phases where I obsess, anything I can do to make my life NOT all about food is important.

If I go out to eat, even if I order something "healthy," I pretty much count on my meal being 1,000+ calories.

Yes, this exactly. I have very similar stats and goals - I'm 5'5", currently 135 with the ultimate goal of 125. I've largely been maintaining at 135 for the last year + after losing 35 in about 10 months. While I've found maintenance at this weight to be relatively easy, additional loss has been very difficult. I largely…

That's really nice of your husband! I wish I could get mine to do that!

Congrats on quitting smoking and on the 50 lb loss! Both are great accomplishments. Based on the above comments the best place to start may be tightening up your logging. If your husband is cooking and you don't want to put it on him to weigh everything (my husband has told me that counting and weighing takes all the joy…

Sounds good, thanks for the link. I made a creamy cauliflower "cheese" sauce with nutritional yeast and it turned out delicious and very low calorie. Even my very suspicious husband liked it. I was shocked at how creamy and tasty it turned out.

Unfortunately I think a big culprit is the "woo" button itself meaning different things to different people. It seems that perhaps "dislike" or some variant would be a better button to express negative feelings toward a post, as some people clearly use it as meaning "woohoo!"

Quite simply, if you don't like bulletproof coffee, don't drink it. Taste is a personal thing, obviously. If you are deadset on adding a bunch of fat to your coffee for some reason (your post doesn't say why, I assume you do keto or some form of LCHF), heavy cream should do the trick. Bulletproof coffee isn't a magic…

I see what you are saying, not going to get hung up on the characterization of it as a "cheat" day or meal. There are a lot of recipes and blogs online that create lighter versions of take out and fast foods. What do you like when you order take out? Try googling a light version of that. Say you like orange chicken. I just…

I also "run" better on a moderate to high carb diet. I tried keto for 4 months last year (mostly out of curiosity) and was very strict. I constantly felt heavy and bloated and frequently nauseous. I never experienced the increased energy. Nothing I tried to help with my problems doing keto ever worked. I slowly started…

Yes this. Actual weight loss and gain is about calories, not particular foods or ingredients. Also for what it is worth, almond flour is very caloric. Unless you are subbing almond flour because you are keeping low carb/keto and you are cutting your calories elsewhere, I find almond flour to be too calorie heavy for…

I've tried chia pudding every which way and I just can't find a way that I like it that fits in my calories. If it's breakfast, I'd rather have oatmeal. If it's dessert, for those kind of calories I'd rather have regular pudding. For less calories, I can have a Yasso frozen greek yogurt bar (actually I can have 3 of them),…

My husband and I went to one of our favorite places on Saturday nigh, a great Italian and seafood place. For appetizers we got shrimp scampi and escarole and white beans. For dinner, I got zuppa de pesce - it was chock full of mussels, clams, shrimp and fish in a tomato broth with linguine. With all that amazing seafood I…

Thanks for the suggestions. While I love a good beer, 150+ calorie beers can rarely fit into my calorie goals which are relatively low right now since I am lighter and close to goal. I do like a beer here and there during the week, but if I want to bank some calories for the weekend for increased eating and a few good…

I like Newman’s Own sesame ginger, Hidden Valley spicy ranch, forgot the brand Lite Hiney Mustard (on its own or mixed with balsamic vinegar), forgot the brand raspberry vinaigrette. I also recently made a Greek yogurt ranch mixed with salsa, and it came out very delicious.

I tried the free class a few weeks ago. I thought it was a good workout and I liked the format. I generally prefer to workout on my own and only do group classes one or twice a month at most, so I won't be joining and may just drop in on a class occasionally. If you are curious, most of the Orange Theory locations offer a…

In this situation I'd probably go with the website. In other situations where I haven't been able to find a clear answer I usually pick an entry that's on the higher end of the range, if not the highest (unless the highest entry is clearly wrong). I figure I'd rather overestimate than underestimate. Ultimately I think it…

SkinnyTaste.com has a bunch of recipes that have been adapted for the Instant Pot, and she also has many low carb recipes. Over the past year or so a ton of blogs have started up dedicated to Instant Pot cooking. I use mine primarily to pressure cook various meats, so I suppose most of what I make is low carb though I…

I'm 5'5" and 135 (but not 20 lol). I find the water weight I retain from exercise at this weight is a lot more significant than when I was heavier (aka I had more fat). That said though, I would agree that it would seem you are probably drastically undereating if you are only eating 1200 (and you are sure you are eating…

I'm in the camp of having a space heater by my desk at work. I have mine year round. I live in Miami and I'm still freezing all the time. I've always run cold but it did get worse when I lost weight.

I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it is interfering with your life in a significant way, then you might need to see a doctor.

I get super hungry for a few days about a week before my TOM. During that time, I tend to eat at about maintenance, sometimes a bit more. I tend to only eat back a small portion of my exercise calories during most of the month, so everything seems to generally balance out.

I haven't made the one from the blog, but I made a different one and the tip I received was to use oil or cooking spray to keep from sticking. If I recall, I used cooking spray and it was fine.

Yes, use the recipe builder. If you make the same pizza every Friday night (with approximately the same ingredients and amount of ingredients) you can use the same entry every Friday.

Eh, I go through phases with Halo Top. I think it's generally good, but I rarely finish a pint because I get sick of it. Honestly my favorite is the vanilla and using it to top roasted peaches and apples, but then again frozen fat free cool whip to top my roasted fruit is just as good and creamier. I think the Yasso greek…
