Gm. Has anyone noticed weight GAIN with Almond Flour? I made some blueberry muffins and chocolate chip muffins last week with it, when I got on the scale this morning I GAINED 5 pounds! very disappointed. I can't think of anything else it could be beside the Premiere Protein Shakes I also had last week???

No individual foods make you gain (or lose). It's all about amounts and frequency. How on point are you with food logging? Are these foods on top of what you've been eating before?

was going to say exactly this - you gain/lose from your overall calorie intake - not a specific food. are you weighing all your food (not just the muffins) to ensure you are taking in what you think you are?

In addition to the points raised about your logging...

When is the 5lb gain from? a day, a week, a month?

Where in your monthly cycle are you?

Yes this. Actual weight loss and gain is about calories, not particular foods or ingredients.

Also for what it is worth, almond flour is very caloric. Unless you are subbing almond flour because you are keeping low carb/keto and you are cutting your calories elsewhere, I find almond flour to be too calorie heavy for regular use. Even though it is touted as "healthy," if you aren't paying attention to actual calories those muffins could pack quite a few if made with almond flour.

I use almond flour from time to time. Never had any problem at all.

If you gained 5 lbs in a week, most if not all of it is probably water weight, unless you think you ate 15,000 calories more than you should have last week.
