Good lord. I do measure. Thanks.
-
I like the way you think.

Soooo, my take away from all of this is eat the real ice cream, perhaps with a tablespoon of real peanut butter stirred in.
-
I do something like this too. Well, I chuck my Greek yogurt single sized tub in the freezer for 30 mins or so before I eat it, ends up a lot like ice cream. This is my afternoon 'ice cream'. The others are evening ice cream. You understand :-D

@Francl27 my stomach has a hard time with artificial sweeteners too, so I am unfortunately familiar with those side effects - nasty! And painful! I'll probably steer clear of this 240cal/pint witchcraft. It is intriguing though.

Mmmmmm, bacon..... Actually another funny one you just reminded me of was my one ill-fated foray into tofu sausages. Gag. I love all kinds of food but that was truly revolting. Absolutely disgusting, never again. Just eat the damn sausage!!

Whether you measure in cups or grams is irrelevant for the most part as long as you are measuring a serving. Why would it make a difference if the ice cream weighed 500g and had 250 calories and the banana dessert weighed 300g and had 255 calories? We're talking about two liquids here, so it's very easy to get an accurate…

Stop the press: 240 calories for a PINT? Is that right? Or is it 240 per serve?

@Raynne413 and @AmazonMayan, I may dabble with the PB2 at some point, but I have to admit that I don't blend the PB in my dessert - I measure out the tablespoon and put a big gob in the center of the banana mix and then just stir it a little bit. End result is more of a PB ribbon rather than a smooth consistency. I like…

Yaaaassssss!!!!
-
You know, that's two shout outs for PB2 now, I've never tried it - is it as good as the real deal do you guys think?
-
Yeah.... I wish that were the case. I'm comparing half a cup of ice cream to half a cup of mashed banana plus a tablespoon of peanut butter plus a tablespoon of half an half. So, it's almost exactly the same size. Unfortunately.
-
I purchase the same peanut butter, ground right in front of me from unsalted peanuts. So you're preaching to the choir ;) The sugar/salt is lower but I doubt that the fat content is significantly different-peanuts are just fatty little boogers in and of themselves. Probably why I like then so much. Also, the process I…

Agreed with the above, though I would add that the increased fiber in the banana hipster pseudo-dessert thingo does make it harder to overeat, as I feel pretty full after, whereas the ice cream is much easier to overeat. Other than that.... JUST EAT THE DAMN ICE CREAM. It's my new motto haha

Whatever works for you is wonderful. To each his own.

I've just recently changed my dietary approach to better my running, with great success. Previously I was a low-carber; it's easy for me to cut carbs and I don't miss them too much. However, after some significant time spent researching, I decided to put my carb fears aside and see if increasing my intake would help my…

Today's included baby kale, grape tomatoes, snow peas, carrots, cucumber, beets, yellow bell pepper, avacado, chickpeas, quinoa, turkey breast, plus an olive oil/balsamic dressing. Lunch is my biggest meal of the day, so I'm not shy with the cals, usually clocking in between 500 and 600. Could easily adapt to fewer…

Done a few 5Ks already this year, and have another the weekend after next. Taking a stab at my first half marathon in March, and generally aiming to do one HM and either a 5/10K each month. Still kicking myself over a wrong turn on the trails during my 5K last weekend which resulted in me running a 5 1/2 K, and…

I don't plan any cheat days. However, I don't beat myself up if I have a day (or week) of slip ups. So, although I don't plan for cheat days I guess you could say that I accept that there will be the odd 'oh sh**' day, heh.

I gotta give you a shout out here cakemunchkin (cute username by the way, I can never think of anything imaginative like that). People make assumptions about other people here without knowing all the facts. I actually completely understand where you're coming from. I have overhauled what I choose to eat and MFP has been an…

Try changing up your approach too. For example, running at the same pace every run not only gets monotonous, it is also not the most efficient way to get faster. Try incorporating some interval training on the treadmill. Sprint-jog-walk-sprint-walk-sprint-jog-sprint.... This will help you up your pace In addition, running…

OMG you beat me to it. That's not a binge, that's just a poorly planned meal. You'll be A-OK and don't beat yourself up. Drink lots of water and forget about it.

Sounds like you are having a particularly bad day! Is there are reason you are feeling so down at the moment? You don't have to answer that question in a with a literal response, especially if there are personal things going on right now that don't need to be aired on an internet forum. The question is more rhetorical - if…

Those ramen noodles are definitely tasty - they are designed to be!! Not sure I would consider them an item to eat frequently, at least, not in the place of some fresh fruit, veg, and meat. I bet if you phase in some fresh produce you'll have less room for high sodium packaged foods. Your sodium intake will drop…

I went waaaaay more than double my goal one day last week.... Almost triple. But, I was very conscientious the rest of the week and worked out 5/7 days. Lo and behold I had lost 2 lbs at the end of the week, which is actually a huge loss for me. You can save this week yet!

46.... And that was before I went back to running regularly. Always had a low resting heart rate, always had low blood pressure (100/60 give or take). This doesn't mean that I'm fit, as I certainly was NOT fit when those readings were taken about three months ago. It's just the way I've always been. I'd be interested to…

If we're on the road I know I can grab 3 Chick-Fil-A strips and a pack of the buffalo dipping sauce plus an iced teas for about 370 cals. It's not the best but it's ok in a pinch when there's nothing else.

Crustless quiche with spinach, arugula, onion, goat cheese and cherry tomatoes. 6 serves at 286 cals per serve, nommm!!! Plus taco salad with ground bison instead of beef. Salad items include lettuce, yellow pepper, pico de gallo, cilantro, avacado (2 oz per serve), fresh jalapeños, salsa and reduced fat Mexican cheese.…

1/2 a cup of full fat greek yoghurt plus ~150 - 160g banana (around half the banana), 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and 25g fresh raspberries. 262 calories 15.8g protein 31.5g carbs 10g fat Also, would it be possible to get the recipe for this: It looks absolutely sensational!
