Raw sugar, aka turbinado sugar is healthier than white sugar. I use that or honey. Or maple syrup.

Mash yolks with half mayo and half yogurt. Makes it healthier than all mayo. Add brown mustard. Top with paprika sprinkled on.

Eat organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and fish. Avoid processed foods.

I think the best are the least processed ones, like steel cut oats.

I used to have GERD every night, to the point of vomiting, and then I quit eating a heavy dinner before bed, and cut down on food portions generally, and lost weight. I don't have GERD anymore. Knock wood.

I've got it too. We really need to be careful not to let our blood sugar levels drop, as it can cause damage to our system.

I'm not sure what a venn diagram is, but I think that's what I need. Trying to figure out all those sometimes conflicting requirements of each diet is proving difficult. No artificial ingredients, nothing processed, no GMOs. Lots of fruits and veggies. At least that's the ideal. Different people define it differently.

Sounds good, but why is this called detox salad? Is it supposed to be helpful after eating unhealthy foods?

Cauliflower sauce. I made it today to go with roasted chicken. I cooked the cauliflower in water and chicken broth. Sauteed garlic in olive oil. Added S and P and poultry seasoning. Blended it together until pureed. Amazing!

If there's a local coffee brewer near you, try them. Request it if they don't have it. Deans Beans is a good brand. Buying fair trade is important too.

I'll try one of the flavored kinds. I've been avoiding those because of the high sugar content I assume they have. Maybe I'll mix one flavored with one plain and see how that is.

Yes, I like regular yogurt better, but these days, most of what I see in stores is the Greek kind. I eat it once in a while with fresh fruits and sometimes nuts. I don't like it well enough to eat it regularly. Thanks for 6he suggestion.

Any other ideas to get more protein? I don't eat much meat, though I'm not a vegetarian. I end up with too many carbs in the macro breakdown of my diet. If you have tendinitis in your foot, it's important to let it rest so it can heal. Get your exercise in other ways that don't stress your foot. Are you seeing a physical therapist?
