You know how great you feel whatever size you are/were when you wear a brand new outfit that you know makes you look good.... With the new slimmer body I feel like ive got that brand new outfit on every day, even when I've got my scruffy clothes and no make up on I guess it's really just self confidence

Aw thanks! You all made my day! I must admit my family now call me chicken legs, my weight sits round my middle but seems to have come off shoulders and legs first!
-
Probably not quite what you had in mind but.. I took this pic a couple of weeks ago as I was amazed by the gap I'd never seen before when legs bent totally together.. calf squashed to back of leg This is 143lbs

It's 14lbs Us Brits are a bit funny! Many of us still use stones and pounds for referring to our own body weight but use grammes and kg to weigh everything else!
-
Lost 29lbs since the new year only 8 to go to goal. The daily calorie goal was 1200 a day but most weeks I averaged eating 1350 a day and ate half exercise cals back and still lost usually slightly more than 2lbs a week (not good I know, I really should've adjusted my activity level to lightly active rather than Sedentry…

Bahama Breeze is our favourite when in Orlando

Good for you! You're doing ever so well. I wish I'd had MFP and it's amazing support community for my first, second etc attempts as there would never been a second or third attempt etc! If you know what I'm trying to say!

So true^^ Or you purposefully try to shrink your clothes in the dryer as they are too big! Except after wearing them for a few hours they go baggy again
-
Ha ha I just hit 30lbs (out of 36 to lose) and feel so strange driving my car at the moment as I feel so far a way from the steering wheel! But the arms of course are just the same length! Weird People noticed after 14lbs but now if they do decide to say anything about it they are pretty gobsmacked at the difference which…

Gosh reading this I'm scared about how to handle a whole 7 days in Orlando on holiday/vacation I'm just planning to eat light in the day and enjoy the evening meal as much as possible (avoid fried and creamy dishes) plus eat back activity calories earnt. If I put on (highly likely) I am confident that I've now got the…

Best Advice my dear.. Just get logging on MFP, you WILL lose weight if you... Log every day Weigh your food Visualise yourself slim for motivation Stick with it Do that and you will know for yourself soon, that whatever weight you get to for your final fittings, you will feel !much! more fabulous than you do today

Lost 28lbs in 3 months, 8 to go (to medical chart UK mid weight for height and medium frame) Average 2lb a week lost

A stone is fantastic! I've discovered that having a few 'go to meals' is handy and then when I've got the time or energy I mix it up with low cal reciepes. Or even sneak in 'normal' foods if they fit in the cal allowance I also found that foods that I used to find boring are actually pretty tasty especially if they are…

Yes plenty of us, hence the reason why I'm on MFP

No, no, no! Hunger is not necessary especially on your current calorie intake. For example I've been on 1200 for nearly three months and rarely experienced hunger, certainly nothing a load of water and banana or Apple as a snack could not cure until the next meal. I just try and choose filling foods that fit in the daily…

No, not unless you have strong reason to not to eat meat (a strong reason does not include weight loss) From a vegetarian of 27 years

Good for you hunny, done a great job and look FAB-ulous!
-
Don't be surprised after the excitement of your early weightloss successes; when all your friends and families eyes glaze over at the very mention of the words 'calorie allowance'...

This calculator is very interesting, especially when you click expert mode. Thanks for posting

Hi, I can't answer your question in full but just to tell you that I lost on average 2lb a week with 1200 calories (or some weeks averaging 1300 cals a day over a week) through diet and dog walking (albeit across challenging terrain in the woods) I only had 36lbs to lose and down to final 7.5lbs. So just to say it can be…

Hi There, I'm same as you doing it at home as if never fit in the gym. I'm starting out doing bodyweight strength exercises using this nerd fitness as it's easy to do at home http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/ Good luck with it!

5ft 6 SW at New Year was 174 CW 143 Original goal weight 139 New GW 136 136 is according to those medical charts in the UK the mid-point of perfect weight for this height and medium frame also still got fat around tummy and hips so started bodyweight lifting at home to help! Very excited about getting these last few pounds…

I'm on the last 7lbs I found I was getting a bit lax so what I've done is look back on MFP at my food and exercise from a week that I successfully lost 2lb and basically recreate it as closely as I can...eat the same foods, eat the same quantity/weights of food and same exercise and it worked lost 2lb. You're so close now…
-
Agreed! ^^ I've lost an average of 2lb a week and down to last 7lbs of what will be a 38lb weight loss at goal.
-
Wow you look fabulous! Congratulations :+1:

I want to enjoy life and be healthy and positive, lugging around an extra 35lbs for years and always feeling bad about myself was not the road to a healthy life or positive outlook and that I guess answers both questions.
-
I'm doing the Nerdfitness programme at home and really enjoying it! http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

^^Yes! And those tops that were used to disguise a bigger tummy and backside now come down to the middle of the thigh
-
It's not just getting smaller clothes (which is fabulous!)...before every top I ever owned HAD to be long enough to cover my hips and backside, now the clothes are smaller and show off my hips and backside on purpose!
-
Yey! Well done! You can really see the difference, you look fabulous!
