Huge Gamer - though I've had to cut right back to be more active! I do both PC and console depending on my mood. Pretty much played everything lol. Lately been hopping between COD, Gears, Payday, GW2, Borderlands 2, Dawn of War, Dead Island, Mad Max, Civ, and even Plants vs. Zombies hahahaha

Hrm...that would make ME spinach!

I make something called 3-grain mix : Buckwheat, Quinoa and Amaranth together in a 50/30/20 mixture. I cook it like porridge in a huge stock pot for the week, then keep it in the fridge, taking hunks out of it as I need it. With 3-grain mix I can do ALL SORTS of things! :) Some include: 1. Using it as a base for my morning…

Ok deal. I'll review the finer points of your Vegan cooking then we can sit down and discuss this crush business. Or...I could forget about this thread and saw a guy in half on Gears of War, purely for my own amusement... Ooooh tough decision

Dunno, the food isn't really doing it for me. Can't tell if it's vegan and free of processed crap. I'm not saying I would need that dick pick but... I've totally had better... crush motivation :P

Omg what a funny thread haha! Thanks @robs_ready you flatterer lol

Check out the pre loaded menu items already included by other MFP'ers to get an idea. There are a few in there. Word of warning if you order any kind of steak, burger, or meat item - they season the living hell out of it!!! The steak itself (if you eat it - I don't) will be reasonably ok and easy to add, but the problem is…

Hopefully the developers see this thread and take a look at it...

My Fitbit Adjustment has now vanished entirely at the bottom of my diary! It's there every other day if I scroll back through the history, but not at the bottom of today. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Fitbit, but no joy. I even tried restarting my phone and checking via the PC. It's like from today MFP no…

Oh god lol! I hadn't thought of that!

I should think so yes! Though I suppose the point is your heart rate still spikes at that crucial moment no matter what position you're in...making it rather easy to detect those being less than honest ;)

lmao that's hilarious!

You mean these ones? https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/product/Bare-Naked-Noodles/251099011 They seem to be a Chinese soya variety as opposed to being Shirataki (Japanese yam) variety, so they're not the same as the ones I buy with all the 'goodness factors', amino acids and vitamins etc. They do seem low calorie…

Cross trainer routine I went looking for good routines that are designed specifically for my Spirit eGlide trainer and found some from Express Exercise in New Zealand (where I'm from originally) that work really well. I love the set minutes for each position, so you're not grinding for long periods, or doing boring jogging…

Oh I'm in the UK!! Hang on a tick I'll ask my other half where he orders them from at the moment. We've changed source a couple of times... Aha!! I just asked and he said he used to order them online but lately he's been buying the big bags full from our local Asian supermarket because it was way cheaper. You find them in…

Oh sorry - I forgot to add: My fav way of cooking the Devils tongue yam Shirataki noodles is dry frying them in a pan then using them in a stir fry. You basically just crisp them up a bit first then stir fry with them. It can take a while but it does work better than just eating them in their "jelly" form.
-
I've been eating Shirataki noodles for years! These things are magic for the metabolism. Sometimes you see places calling them "miracle noodles" - they are indeed an acquired taste though. I've grown to really enjoy them. I buy the original ones made from Devils tongue yams, not the soy kind, but i notice it says on…

Very nice planning indeed! I try to do this also. After all, that's what a tool like MFP is here to help with! 1000 calories for dinner is definitely not a binge haha. Now, if someone saved up 1000 calories so they could eat a bag of snickers bars at snack time...lol, possibly a bit different ;)

If you still don't see progress in (say) a month (?) I'd also recommend seeing a doctor and a good nutritionist to rule anything else out that might be going on and to really interrogate your nutrition. Calories are a crude indicator of nutrition at best, but if the sluggish start continues you might want to go down a…

I'm intolerant to animal protein so meat, dairy, eggs, and whey protein based drinks are out for me. It makes it a struggle to get protein but I've discovered a few tricks with plant based ingredients to make a breakfast boost. In the morning I like an easy "grab and go" breakfast, so I've taken to making overnight…

If things don't progress as you expect I recommend seeing a good nutritionist. It took ALL the guesswork out of it for me and helped me to get things "set" to a safe level at the get go. They look at all your nutrition too, not at calories. Hopefully you don't need it but keep it in mind if you get really stuck.

Everyday at a moderate level, as opposed to 2-3 times per week hardcore. I have a sedentary day job and arthritis in my feet, so "a little bit often" is what I need to counter both, else the swing from "feck all" to "circus freak" would do me harm lol

Like others have said, I just don't weigh myself during my period. It's not worth it. If I were you I would ignore the weight you just recorded. Delete it from you log and forget it completely. It's not reliable and you'll drive yourself batty trying to work out how much if it is real. Weigh yourself when it's all over.

I've found the weight loss predictions waaay off so wouldn't worry too much about it. Though I find using MFP as a useful tool to track everything, my nutritionist keeps banging on about how she doesn't advocate "calories" as a measure of whether I'm on course, there are just too many individual / personal factors so she…

Welcome to MFP! Your starting weight of 13.3 stone is roughly 186 lbs, so you've lost about 4lbs already since week 1. Well done!! I know what it's like to struggle against joint problems (arthritis in knees, feet & shoulders here). The trick is to find low strain and low impact exercises. Have you tried a mini hydronic…
