My secret? I do strength training. MFP would have me believe that 1600 calories are my maintenance calories. Ha! I eat what I want within reason (approx 2000 - 2500 calories a day when I do log) and I lift heavy things in the gym. I slip into my skinny jeans every day to see if my measurements have remained the same.

It's a US size 4 jeans and skirt that I can squeeze into.

A slight arch is okay.

It burns a lot of calories. I would've been obese by now (because of how much I eat) had it not been for lifting.

You want a good mix of strength, cardio, and flexibility training.
-
Walking is cardio.

I'm not Australian but here goes... 1.63m, 63kg and I wear a size 10. I can squeeze into a size 8 depending on the make.

I had knee and lower back pain when I was overweight. It stopped when I lost the excess weight.

MFP gives me 1600 calories without exercise factored in for maintenance. I lift 4 times a week and I try to hike twice a week. I'm 1.63m and 63kg. I seem to maintain on a minimum of 2500 calories a day. On some days, I am close to 3500 calories. I have also lost at least 2cm off my waist since April when I got gatvol of…

Every training session should be "leg day".

I am a woman who eats like a grown *kitten* man and I am losing centimeters. I mainly lift and hike. We're talking about a minimum of 2500 to 3000 calories a day. I'm 63kg and 1.63m. I could probably cut on 2000 calories a day. #justputtingitoutthere #fuelthatbody

I far prefer hiking. And trust me on this: I *kitten* hate myself for inflicting such severe punishment on myself while I'm trudging up that goddamn mountain (Table Mountain). BUT the feeling afterwards is why I hike. I don't get the same feeling after a run.

Why do you want to be a runner?

Body frame size isn't a thing. Rather go according to bodyfat percentage and not according to BMI.

WOW, lady! That is impressive!

I pay R200 a month for my gym membership.

Well done!

Do you even lift?

Did you calculate your daily calorie allowance by plugging your numbers into Myfitnesspal? It'll tell you how much you can eat. No need to cut down or restrict any specific food group. I do, however, feel more satisfied when I eat more low-cal veggies. I make soups and I make HUGE salads. Like, HUGE: 200g cabbage, 100g…

A stone in 14 weeks is totally doable. You just need to be consistent at being consistent. I have lost an average of 750 grams a week for 4 months since December last year.

My heart goes out to you, OP <3 I have recently (2 weeks ago as of today) lost my dad to cancer. One of my sister in laws was recently diagnosed with cancer. One of my friends (she is 33!) recently went for her first round of chemo. You just gotta keep on keeping on. I'd like to suggest you read some Stoic writers. Take up…

Use MFP to determine your current weight's maintenance calories and subtract x number of calories to lose x amount of weight each week.

Change your activity setting to active.
