Walking up and down stairs
The walking up stairs avtivity on Mfp gives me +-85 calories for 10 minutes of walking. I am 1.63m and I weigh 66kg. Does that amount of calories sound right? My breathing becomes heavy, my palms and brow start sweating, and I try to take 2 stairs at a time.

Every so often someone on MFP will say they have ''big bones'' or a ''big frame''. This is just not true. Have a look at the photos in the success story threads. Why would thyroid issues cause weight gain?
I don't understand this. All bodily processes and cells require fuel aka calories. Someone who weighs a certain weight and who has a certain activity level will require x number of calories. What, exactly, is it that a thyroid issue does to supposedly make people gain weight?

Maintaining while breastfeeding
Are any of you breastfeeding? I'm very close to my goal weight and I'm at a loss as to how many calories to set maintenance to as I've lost 3.4kg in FOUR DAYS without even trying very hard. My bub is now 8.5 months old so we're really only at the start of our breastfeeding journey and I really don't want my weight to jo-jo.

It took me 3 months to go from around 75kg or 76kg to 65kg. My BMI was around 28 or very close to 29, which is dangerously close to the obese category. Eating back only 1/4 of my exercise calories?
I started running stairs (and walking down) and could only do two or three minutes at a time. I can now do 24 minutes at a time AND I alternate using 2 x 1kg (first couple of minutes) and 2 x 0.5kg ankle weights (for the remainder). Why the calorie is broken
My boyfriend and I debated this article earlier today. I found it a frustrating read because the writers do not tell us whether the two obese people weigh their food or whether they ''eyeball'' their food. Lindor chocolate balls and prunes
I had 400g of prunes today. AND 3 Lindor chocolate balls... :( At least I hiked for two hours yesterday and today. And I was under my calorie allowance on both days even though I underestimate how many calories I burn when I hike.
