Take out those emotions with exercise instead of calories. I went stress walking instead of stress eating one evening and I found it SO much more rewarding. It gave me the time to think through my problems while also tiring me out and calming me down.

I'm not a big fan of the "lose ___ pounds each week" thing. Sometimes I'm down 1 lb, sometimes it's 2. I think it probably averages around 1.5 a week long term, but if you play too much by the weekly rulebook you may be frustrating yourself.

In my experience, people that do this mean well and are simply trying to give you a confidence boost (whether you asked for/need it or not!). It's just......social norms and polite society? Women, in particular seem to do this. You can always spin it as "stay healthy and fit/tone up/etc" instead of telling about weight…

Try for high protein snacks. I have a cheestick and some turkey pepperoni as a ~150 calorie AM snack. Also drink a lot of water, it can help fill you up (and make you feel better in general).

Sounds like you have done a lot of exercise and only a little eating.........so....uh, yes, eat some pizza?

Thank you for all the math and the overall perspective. The idea of counting calories.....long term....is new for me. I tend to just think day by day (which is why I probably had so much drama from so many calories!) Glad I did have a bad cheat day though, so if nothing else I know what NOT to do! I think I'm going to have…

Thank you for all the advice! I agree I definitely need more a plan for these days instead of just letting myself run wild. I think I will eat what I want, but just watch out for how much. I really want to find that "just say no" mentality. So far it's been easy for me to diet because I am surrounding myself only with…

My advice is to ignore the butter and just enjoy the lobster! (I always thought it ruined the lobster taste personally).

Can you use less deli meat and add something else to your sandwich to replace the calories? (tomato/avacado/cheese (although this can e high in sodium)/etc)

Sounds like coffee related stuff and cheese are the bigger non-negotiate items. Today I made the mistake of trying crystallized (aka candied) ginger. Generally I like stuff boiled in and coated in sugar. I'm thinking maybe this tastes like dried apricots. I'm not thinking about how every time I eat sushi I try ginger and…

I'm not picky about brands, but when it gets cold for running I love these My ears are always the coldest thing and never seem to warm up. After than I would say gloves. I always warm up way more than I thought I would running, so that long leggings and a windbreaker are enough for me for all the rest.

Apart from wanting to eat everything and then cry, I hate how tired I get. Even activities that I enjoy are like, "Nope, not going hiking."

I was a skeptic about the greek yogurt thing, but once I gave it a shot I there wasn't much difference. The yogurt has a little more sourness. Having said that I'm not sure I'd go out and deliberately buy the yogurt to replace sour cream. For me it's more a useful substitute for those "oh no we're out what else can I use…

If it does die, do threads go to a big forum in the sky?

I definitely bought rice dream ice cream once......with carob chips instead of chocolate chips. It was a sad experience.

Should I be worried that the thread is dying?

Cauliflower is amaaaaaaazing. People make faux pizza crusts and mashed potatoes and rice with it. I'd done a "fried rice" out of it and it's pretty good!

A day at a time, a week at a time, a month, a year, a lifetime! Let's do this! Also that puppy you're holding is freaking adorable.

Don't let yourself be set up for it. If it happens at home, don't keep that food in your house. If you went out somewhere, try to talk yourself out of it before you go.

Aww, look I found my happy place.

Try the option of an added condiment for him. Like if you're having vegetables, he may be more into them with some ranch/sriracha/garlic salt, etc. You can keep yours healthy as you like.

Preschool teacher here! I'll just thumbs up what everyone else has said, take ALL your food with you from home, not just your lunches. Measure out your 2-4 little 100 calorie snacks and plan exactly when you're going to eat them. I eat mine during my 10am planning period and then at 2:45 after the kids are gone.

This was my first thought. Also you appear to be in the optimal ranges so..... Personally I wouldn't be too concerned about the 2kg over 2 weeks, that's still in a normal flux range.

I'm not big on the chia seeds, but I'll back the yogurt! There's a lot of variety in calories of yogurts as well (ones I eat range 80-170) so you can find a nice fit to your calorie count. Plus it's not one of those "gobble" foods that you can eat in seconds.

I love using youtube. I created my own workouts by combining shorter videos (some weights, some abs, some zumba, some tabata) that I liked into a 45 minute playlist. Gets a lot of variety in!
