I dont own a scale, so I only check on my weight when I stop by the doc's office and get weighed there - about once every 6-8 weeks. I use clothing and how it fits to keep me motivated - it has worked a treat since October 2015 and the loss of 65 lbs

I split a vegetable greek salad with a friend, and used the barcode app for the first time on my phone and it worked perfectly!!I can see that it will make checking calories on products in the grocery store so much easier

I hope everyone here realizes how privileged they are to even be having this discussion. The fact that we in the Western Nations have so much choice is staggering - I cannot understand how so much angst can be generated over what YOU eat versus what ANYONE ELSE eats.

I weigh things as I eat them, so I weigh cooked chicken, beef, etc as I dont eat it raw! The only exception that I have found so far is pasta - I weigh that before cooking so that I dont end up making too much, which I will then try to justify so I can eat it all.
