I had a back injury that has kept me out of the gym. I suspect I am not eating enough to compensate for being more sedentary. I log every day and find it hard to get enough protein in. Right now I'm taking in about 1300 calories. I'm still in the lose-it stage and need to jump start my routine.

Very normal. Remember that some fat will convert to to lean muscle. A better gauge is how your clothes are fitting.
