Just in case OP is still reading this far into the post - one more bit of advice. Take a series of pictures of yourself now from the front and side. I know it’s probably really awkward and you might not be entirely comfortable but take the pics anyway and stick them in a draw or on the cloud somewhere safe. When you are…

Yeah don’t take the advice of strangers (albeit incredibly well meaning and lovely!) over a trained medical professional. Get to your PCP and possibly a referral to gastroent. Once you have a diagnosis and a treatment plan you can start looking at foods to include/exclude.

Watch your neck position when swimming - if you’re doing breaststroke make sure you push your shoulder back and bring your shoulder blades together at the end of your arm pull to release neck tension. I have severe chronic migraines with 30/30 severe migraines a month. I tried everything and eventually found medication…

Had a thigh gap. Lifted heavy and consistently. Lost thigh gap but got legs that could stop a runaway truck. Yup, I’ll take that.

Could well be. I have heard that excess weight can affect the shape of the lens in your eye which affects your sight. Lose the weight, lens changes shape and your sight improves.

I had the same thought. I’ve ordered some sugar free peppermint syrup to make peppermint mochas with. We can’t get them over here so I guess I’ll make my own!

3500 calories worth of pure protein, sugar and fat will make you gain weight even if you never eat 1g of carbs. Low carb diets are just another way of limiting calories in. You still have to pay attention to calories consumed.

112lbs lost over 2 years. I’m 37. A small amount of excess skin on my lower abdomen but that’s it. I can easily hide it with clothes. Ill take that over to obese any day.

If it helps here’s my graph for the past two years. Overall downward trend but lots of peaks and troughs.

It could have been numerous things. It could have lost your pulse through movement, you could have accidentally closed the app, the battery could have gone into saving mode. I’ve had it crash on me once when running and once when swimming. Annoying but not a disaster. Try calculating your calories burnt on an online…

I’m gonna go with the NHS advice on this one - anything from three times a day to three times a week is normal. https://www.cnwl.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/Healthy_Bowel-_Patient_Information_leaflet.pdf

Similar thing happened to me. Got to GW and added an extra 300 calories a day because I was losing at 1-1.5lbs a week. Gained four lbs over the following two weeks which I’m now losing again. Was desperately hungry whilst eating at “maintenance”. Not sure why I was so hungry or why I gained. This time I’m planning to get…

Or you’ll lose water weight and food weight and then immediately put it back on the moment you eat something.
-
Why are you cutting out sugar, dairy and gluten? Unless there is a medical reason to not eat these foods you are making things harder for yourself than necessary. Weigh everything, stick to your calorie goal and stick with the programme. Science and experience says that the weight will eventually come off (probably in a…

Depends on what you like I suppose. My favourite is cinnamon roll but the rainbow one would be close behind. Hope we get that soon.

There are very few drugs which cause weight gain; most of the notorious ones cause an increase in appetite. It's ultimately up to you whether you have the will power to resist the side effect. You control what your hand puts into your mouth, not the drug. I lost 112lbs whilst on a drug notorious for causing increased…

Only time will tell when it comes to working out your calorie target for loss. Why don't you start at 1600, give it a few weeks and see if you lose. Don't change after just a week or two, give it a good month. If you are losing too slowly, you need to reduce your calories. If you are losing on target, then 1600 is a good…

Possibly number 1 but I'd emphasise number 2. You haven't given any information about your starting weight, goal weight, height, gender (I'm assuming female from profile pic but confirmation would be good), how much you've lost so far, how much the gain was, what calories you consume, how you measure those calories. This…

Nope, working fine for me. Type in the food and hit “search”.

I agree with others that tour PT should be working with you on this but as a temporary solution try squatting facing a wall. You will naturally sit on your heels to avoid bashing your face on the wall.

What’s wrong with just counting?
-
By “smart” do you mean scales that measure body fat or ones that sync with your electronic toys? I’ve heard bad things about the former; good things about the latter.
-
Absolutely, in fact it’s recommended to go slow. With the last few pounds you need to expect a very slow loss that may be interrupted by stalls and small gains. The smaller the amount to lose, the more it can be masked by water weight, hormonal issues, DOMs etc. Don’t freak out if you don’t lose one week or even gain.…

I’m waiting for either “kick start my diet” or “holiday weight” or “detox” to be used.

Is there a medical reason you’re doing this?

Popchips in either ready salted or barbecue flavour. About 75ish calories per bag. Freely available at the big four supermarkets
-
Success! Normal size Tesco didn’t have them but Tesco Extra had cinnamon roll, vanilla, chocolate flavour (note they can’t say chocolate!), peanut butter cup and cookie. Got two of cinnamon roll, choc and cookie.

I’ll try at the weekend but not holding out much hope based on your experiences so far

I’m happy to be a mentor to a newbie or two! About me: 37 year old 5’4” female from the UK. Started with MFP in January 2015 at 237 and got to goal weight of 125 in November 2017. So 112lbs (51kg) lost over 2 years or so. Usually on 1200 a day plus exercise calories. And all whilst being on prescription medication that is…

I didn’t think that ASDA stocked Halo Top. Just Tesco, Waitrose and Whole Foods. According to the halo top uk website...
