I had done vlcd in 2005 08 10 in 2011 I switched to cals at 1400 a day and lost 71lbs in 11 months So vlcd I don't see are the problem I think it's my age as perimenopausal maybe

I did lose 71lbs in 2011 on here 1400 cals a day and exercise I had done vlcd before this I am only now having trouble losing weight on 1200 calories a day I never used to and in strict and measuring so am a little concerned Thankyou for your help

Thankyou @MegaMooseEsq I must admit my husband made me worried as he drinks lots water and I never have and I keep trying to drink more and feel dreadful lol I think I'll stick at 2 litres as I do drink decaf green tea also :)

I'd say make a lifestyle change and lose 1-2 lbs a week I've done all sorts weightloss rubbish it comes back on if you don't find a lifestyle plan Rome wasn't built in a day and tbh if you go in harsh you'll fall off plan and end up heavier Take it from someone who's yoyoed 30 years and wish I'd just took it as it came off…

Digital food scale weigh everything. Track everything. Measuring jug for caloried drinks. If you drink alcohol that's where lots people go wrong not measuring tracking. Carbs how many are you eating as I've aged carbs effect my weightloss. Tape measure is your friend you could be 160lbs a size 10 or 185lbs a size 10 scales…

Eat real unprocessed foods. Your body will burn more calories digesting proper foods than any shakes. Prep is your friend Make meals in advance freezer refrigerate etc. I've done meal replacement shakes you feel deprived and yoyo. Real food is better tbh

Tape measure concentrate on that first and scales second and buy a scale that monitors fatloss as remember scales are weighing everything in and on your body Fatloss is what your looking for and inchloss those numbers on a scale aren't a liner :)

You would lose weight on 1200 weighed and measured calories unless your ill or on medication that effects water retention You can gain weight eating any food if your eating more than your body burns even really healthy foods
