Surround yourself with like minded people! Have you tried meal prepping/planning? It actually doesn't take as much time as it sounds like it does. It's the one thing that helps keep my nutrition on track. Feel free to add me as a buddy!

I do set programs on dvd. Most range from 22 minutes to 45 minutes. I see more results from these than when I was working out at a gym for over an hour a day.

Not really eating low carb, but try to eat healthy carbs and balance them out with protein every day. This helps prevent lows. Don't treat lows with food. Use glucose pills. It's too easy to over eat when low. I also remove my pump when exercising, but if you are on shots try eating an apple with peanut butter before…

If I adopt you... you have to be willing to listen LOL

I wouldn't say I eat clean... I eat nutritious meals with balanced macros and within my calories. I do add treats and junk at times. But I do focus on eating MOSTLY whole foods. I think my diary is open? I'll have to check that. I also work out using DVDs at home and I love to run and bike. :) No starving here! No crazy…

I hope you don't mind, I took a peek at your diary going back just a few days. One easy way to add protein is to do either a meat or egg for breakfast. I make a canadian bacon frittata and eat a slice almost every morning. It is packed full of protein and the way I make it is pretty low fat. You can also slip protein…

A pound a week is very reasonable. The reason some are saying eat more is because sometimes eating too little can mess up your metabolism and cause your weight loss to slow or even stop. This is why some people who end a diet gain back more than they lost. Their metabolism slowed down. Slow and steady weight loss is…

Slow and steady wins the race! Think baby steps. 100 pounds to lose... that's less than 2 pounds per week. Not too scary! You can do it. :) Too many people try to lose 5 pounds, 10 pounds in a week. Ok... but they usually gain it back. Slow and steady is good for your metabolism. :) Reach out for support from people who…

Not eating enough can be just as bad as eating too much. Your body needs food as fuel and if it isn't getting enough it will store fat. Your body is smart... it wants to survive. How many calories are you eating per day? Depending on your age/weight/sex etc you should be able to set a specific goal for calories and then…

I don't think about food 24/7 because I'm eating more calories than most people eat when dieting. I don't give up my sweets, I just eat them less often and fit them into my calories and macros. I find healthy alternatives to some junk food so that I don't feel deprived. I avoid most processed foods... and honestly that…

Ok. Things that work... 1) Meal planning 2) Calorie Counting 3) Working out at home 4) Keeping foods you love in your diet as long as they fit your calories and macros Things that don't work... 1) Eating too few calories!!! 2) Working out too much while eating too few calories!! 3) Expecting to lose 5lbs a week every…

I would give it time and see if you end up liking it, but if after awhile you don't... move on. I think it's important to at least SORT OF like what you are doing. I can't say I love working out, but I do enjoy what I do.

Hi Gloria!! What types of workouts are you planning to do? Have you figured out your calorie and macro goals yet? Feel free to buddy me. I'm always up for new friends on here.

I'm not into the container system. It doesn't really teach you what you should learn to make it a lifestyle. The workouts are nice though, I just prefer counting calories and macros and actually learning about what foods I love and how I can fit them into my daily routine.

One huge piece of advice for those starting their weight loss journey... and it's a common mistake. Don't drop your calories too low. Please. You CAN lose weight the healthy way. Support is key. I'm always here for those who need me. I'm just a buddy click away.

Find some motivating friends. Add them. Watch their daily activity. That is usually helpful for people just starting out. Support is key! You also need to find out WHY you want to lose weight and feel better. Dig deep and find a reason that is more important than any excuse. Not just to look better. Dig deeper.

Keep in mind that BOTH are machines. There is no heart rate device that will monitor your calories burned accurately. Also, MFP isn't even trying to read you. It just goes by what you tell it. Set your calories and macros and eat them. Stick to them. If you aren't losing you will know that something is up and you can tweak…

It may have killed your "diet", but it will only kill the lifestyle if you let it. A diet is temporary. A healthy lifestyle is for life! Don't let a bad day, week, or even month stop you! Pick up and move on! :)

Any company that claims you can lose fat without eating a proper diet and exercising is not an honest company. Walk away.

I'm currently doing my last 5 weeks of P90. I can't suggest it enough! It is what I send all of my friends to for their first program. There is SO much modification that you can do. Feel free to msg me if you want to chat about it or have specific questions.

Between my commute and work hours I am out of the house from 6:45AM-7PM. I work out at 4am before waking my 5 year old up to get ready. I am tired, but I feel better when I get my morning workout in!

Send a friend request! :) I love sharing what I know and encouraging others.

Males should not be lower than 1800 at a minimum. Yes... you can fit whatever foods you want into your diet as long as you are within your calories and macros, but you should make sure your calories and macros are set properly, make sure that you don't eat a ton of junk (as you say you do not), and also log everything…

You have Type 1 or Type 2? I only ask because I have Type 1 and can totally understand the issues. Yo Yo dieting can really mess up your metabolism. I am a part of an AMAZING support group that I would love to talk to you about if that is something you feel you are needing.

Look for the Chunky flavors of Arctic Zero. Some ARE gross. I hated the peanut butter cup one and I love peanut butter cups! My favorites have been the mint chocolate chip, chocolate brownie batter (AMAZING!!), and the hint of mint isn't bad either. Cookie shake is decent. It seems the chunky ones are better.

1200 calories is way to low... that will drop you so fast that your metabolism will most likely crash, you'll be starving, and then when you eat more... your metabolism is already slower because of the lack of fuel so you'll gain it back faster. If you were eating at 3000 calories before that... I would actually try…
-
Half is MUCH more reasonable! If you don't mind my asking, what is your current weight? How many calories were you eating before? What level did my fitness pal set you at? And finally what workouts will you be doing/how often? :) If you want help... it's here.

70 lbs in 4 months is not a realistic goal! I'm sorry... it's just not. If you want some honest/serious help friend request me. I don't want you to destroy your metabolism before you even start!
