I just found out I'm pregnant and I want to be as healthy as possible and not gain too much weight!

:D WOW! Nice piece of writing!

Having a baby up all night, it is crazy. During our sleep deprived raising babies stage, i certainly had my own scavenging the kitchen nights. Sometimes, just do what you must to survive it and move on the next day. Don't feel guilty, you're a good mommy! Tomorrow is a new day.

Feel free to add me! I'm very dedicated to logging and staying at a deficit. :)

Itsan.org Finding this website truly changed my world. 3 years later and my eczema is controlled. It's just information, not products.

You are doing such an amazing job! 10 pounds lost is a huge success! As long as you are eating at a deficit, you will lose weight. No need to only eat 1200 if you can lose at 1600. Like you say, unsustainable. Instead of a cheat day, just find out your maintenance number and eat at that once a week or so. And for not…

I am one that is trying to change the way I view eating. No dieting, no cheating, no good and bad. I do occasionally eat closer to maintenance, but try to stay just under. I'm really trying to learn self control with portions.

You didn't overeat the pizza, you were within your calories, you actually did a great job!

That same "victim mentality" gave me lots of excuses why simple calories in/ calories out wouldn't work for me, as well. Somehow, I "deserved" easier and quicker dieting methods.

I've given a lot of thought to this as well! My weight problems have been a direct result of harmful thinking patterns that were created by my own selfishness. My mother had a terrible body image and relationship with food that stuck in my mind like a plague. And our culture is incredibly damaging as well. I know now that…

My mother ordered a Richard Simmons VHS set in the early 90s, and I heard him tell thousands of people to never drink water before a meal, with a meal, or an hour after a meal, as this would dilute all your stomach acids, so the food wouldn't digest, and it would then turn to fat. As a kid, this somehow stuck in my head,…

This thread is amazing. Hysterical. :D

I'm doing somewhat low carb because I'm insulin resistant. I've almost completely cut out processed sugar. Add me. :)

I'm a Western North Carolina mom of two boys :)
-
I am! Add me! I was diagnosed as insulin resistant and have a huge family history of diabetes.
-
I do this 50% of the time. I do better when I plan ahead!
-
I highly recommend itsan.org as a reference.

Wow! You look great! Well done!

I have PCOS. Definitely low carb and low sugar is the way to go. Not no carb no sugar, just low. Learn to balance the carbs and sugar you do consume with adequate protein. While most on here will tell you a calorie is a calorie, it's just not true in a PCOS (insulin resistant) body. White bread and rye bread react…

I used to worry about this too. But I soon realized, no one cares. I do my own thing, eat my own thing, order my own thing, whatever, and they do theirs, and no one notices. It's when I draw attention to it that they began to watch.

I make a healthy brownie almost every night, and knowing all day that I have that to look forward to keeps my sweet tooth under control. It's 1tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp coconut flour, 1 tbsp cocoa, 1tbsp raw honey, 1tbsp water, a splash of vanilla extract, and some sea salt. Microwave all for 40 seconds.
-
Today will be a smoothie. Spinach, Greek yogurt, cocoa, banana, milk, blueberries.

Great job! God is good! ♡

I love vitamin water zero lemonade. It is sweetened with stevia. O calories 0 sugar. And has electrolytes!

I had a trainer tell me one time that this is excellent for heart health. But it wasn't as much about complete rest as it was about letting your heartbeat calm and resume a normal rate.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Stress can definitely wreak havoc on the body. I pray your body stabilizes quickly!
