  • Thank you. Currently in my 30's and appreciate the motivation to not let the time slip by before doing something. Just wanted you to know your advice does not fall on deaf ears.
  • I follow skinny mom recipes on Pinterest. I bought the cookbook but most of the recipes can be found online. Although they are not specific for budget friendly they contain normal ingredients that can be found easily! Nothing crazy or exotic and the recipes are usually for 4-6 people so you have several meals of them or…
  • Im 5-4" started at 233 January 2016 and am down 40lbs as of August 2016. I have just been calorie counting and not really exercising- I have a toddler at home so days are busy but am not working out consciously. Just start and do what you can and then start building on it and before you know it you start seeing results and…
  • I adore skinny mom - have cook book and follow on Pinterest! For sides I've been having a lot of watermelon/cucumber mint salad or just cut up fruit. I find summer so much easier than rest of the year for snacking as there is so much good fruit. I also do home made muffins (Apple and zucchini -under 200 cal), goldfish…
  • Agree with above. As long as I am under calories I don't pay much attention to sugar limit - I look at it but most days, especially lately I am over as there is so much amazing fruit in season. I don't like them as much but I try and snack on veggies more often to fill up a bit and then have some fruit after.
  • I'd give chiro a shot- just a bit to see if it improves at all, if there's no change the other options will still be there! Hope it feels better soon

  • It definately helped but wasn't a solution - it just bought me time with lessened inflammation to strengthen the areas around the SI joint to support it better. Chiro over all helped more. Other thing chiro might suggest is an SI belt- it stabilizes the joint while you exercise and strengthen it. It's a nasty little area…
  • I hadd tons of SI pain from a car accident a few years back- chiro definately helped and gave me some stretches to help keep it loose. Ended up having a steroid injection to help with pain and inflammation so I could do exercises to get it straightened out. Highly recommend chiro to get started.
  • I did WW years ago - minimal success. Lost about 10lb over 6 months kind of thing. For some reason I felt so restricted trying to stick to their recipes only so I didn't have to calculate, i would panic when I went out to eat, and I would go crazy on fruits "good foods" without understanding how they all add up. MFP is so…
  • Pretty much in the same boat- started 233ish down to 197 and looking to lose about 59lb! Can't wait!
  • Mine seems to have just fixed itself. Hopefully it starts working for others. Thanks for your replies- glad to hear it wasn't just me or something I had mistakenly done!
  • 5'4 - started at 233ish - goal 145.
  • Forgot the how I'm doing it part. Completely CICO and now that I've lost some and have more energy and amping up the determination will include exercise including cardio and weights.
  • I'm 33 started at 234 (January) and am down to 198. Goal of 140, healthy, lighter and stronger.
  • Ugh no change this week!
  • You signed up and are on here! Positive changes are already being made. Good luck in your new journey.
  • Completely done by eating less calories! Really didn't change what i ate or exercise level just so cautious about portions and choices. I can't figure out how to add you as a friend but if you can add me - do so!
  • Mine does that too- usually if I had exercised one day and not the next. That's all I can think of when looking at mine.
  • I'm in too! SW: 233 (Jan 2016) CW: 199 GW for Sept: 179 Ultimate GW: 145
  • ^ this!! I was so scared of not knowing what I was doing and so self conscious that everybody would notice and see me fumbling and be like oh clearly she's never been to the gym hense why she's huge! So not the case, but in prepping I looked up on Pinterest exercises for what I wanted to accomplish and then you tubed the…
  • I bought the skinny mom cookbook (you can also go on her website or follow on Pinterest). Her meals are all really good and calorie conscious. Nothing wild and crazy but it saves my butt trying to come up with ideas - no complaints yet!
  • I use Pinterest and have a board for meals under 300 and one for under 500 I love it. Usually bEfore pinning a recipe I enter it into MFP recipe builder to compare calorie counts and make sure the recipe given has an accurate count.
  • I've lost all the weight I gained from baby as I didn't gain much with him but it made me realize how big I was and now that he's 10 months i regret not having more photos of he and I but I had too much body shame especially when I couldn't even blame my weight on baby! I'm 5'4 - starting weight almost 233 (Jan 7, 2016),…
  • Yup totally obsessed- I know it's pointless but it's like I need the reassurance the number is the same or close too (understanding daily fluctuations). I just can't help it. It states at me in the bathroom so I would say I weigh myself 3 times a day and usually all in the morning haha. Once my day gets started and I get…
  • I have a whole list. I agree with previous posters about maintenance etc but when I hit my goal I have things I have been too embarrassed or shy to do at my starting weight. Clothes shopping is a must - trying to buy as little as possible while body is changing because I would rather invest in items I plan to wear long…
  • Just had fantastic steak fajitas - steak, peppers, onions, salsa and feta- amazing!
