For a snack, I love cucumbers with a pinch of salt, sometimes I also mix in tomatoes and olives. Also makes for a good side salad of you don't like lettuce (I hate lettuce).

I adore skinny mom - have cook book and follow on Pinterest!
For sides I've been having a lot of watermelon/cucumber mint salad or just cut up fruit. I find summer so much easier than rest of the year for snacking as there is so much good fruit. I also do home made muffins (Apple and zucchini -under 200 cal), goldfish crackers...

I love apple slices and dipping them in peanut butter for a snack.

Cottage Cheese makes a good side dish for mornings as well as greek yogurt.

Cucumber and carrot mixed with a pinch of salt (sometimes some pieces of tomato too) would be great!

Last night I took a zucchini, cut it into long ways pieces, and put it on a sprayed grill pan...high heat...until each side has grill marks...salt & pepper...eat. They were DELICOUS.

Apples and peanut butter are a favorite.
Also like cold shredded chicken with a little sea salt. Yeah I'm weird like that.
Sometimes I'll bake some protein balls or my own snack cakes.
  • My usual go-to snack is a dill pickle. Especially the Claussen brand. You have to be mindful of the sodium.

Kale chips are awesome for when you're craving salt. Make them yourself as they're supereasy (and cost a ridiculous amount ready made at the store).

I just made sautéed carrots with butter and dill as a side dish for dinner. Super delicious and fairly low calorie. I think my recipe came in at around 200 calories for a 205 gram serving.
