you're over halfway and less than halfway through the month. You got this!

My wife is running the Bjorklund and I'll be running Superior 50. Looks like we'll be around the same place a few times.

Getting up at 0130 would be epic. Getting up at 0300 is still pretty awesome. That's about an hour before I get up for my weekday runs. Great job!

Can't remember the MFP rules on this so...I might get warned or put on a time out for this but I don't care. Sometimes you got to run for more than just yourself: https://www.gofundme.com/miles-for-miranda

Has to be at a race for it to be an "official" PR to me. Unofficial are nice, to gauge how I'm doing, but official is only when someone else does the course measurement and time recording.
-
Welcome back! Glad to see you back in it! Getting injuries and recovery taken care of is important. Glad you got that sorted out. Nice running and congrats on the PR!

That's awesome that youee really getting into it. Yes, I catch hell from non-runners and even more casual runners (I tend to run a lot). Don't listen to it. You know your body and how it reacts. The joint thing mostly comes feom people who dont seem to realize that the stress running puts on joints also causes them to…

@MobyCarp I think we all need someone like her. With your experience I think you'll be fine at Boston. If all else fails, go by the credo of ultra runners like me, who aren't in @JessicaMcB 's league, if you think you're going out slow enough, slow down. As an added incentive, just remember that 2-3 days before Boston I'll…

@Teresa502 How: one foot in front of the other...LOL Why: My schedule lined up with my buddy who's training for 2 of the same races as me and that's our normal spot. Plus, in that one mile loop, we get 34 feet of incline per loop, so we get uphill, downhill and flat all in one area and last, mental training. Nice running…

@Elise4270 I shouldn't laugh, but that's epic. Roots, Rocks, etc never seem to trip me, it's my own darn feet that always get me..... I guess I need to be watching for them instead....
-
Awesome. You got this!

I always am checking 6. If I see another runner coming up fast behind me, I step to the side and let them pass. If you're coming up to someone, call out to them that you are coming. Hopefully they will move out of the way. Most people do. This is for people who aren't competing to place of course... @JessicaMcB and others…

yup. This. Sign up. A goal is a great motivator, and you'll be amazed at how much better you do at it than you think you can now.

To follow along on this, I use my "estimated" 10k PR in the table, and it gives me a 5k and mile time that are slower than my "estimated" mile PR and my recorded 5kPR. I can't really compare to my HM and marathon times though since those times are from before I started training with my coach, and I've made HUGE gains.

Good goal and welcome!

Well, i have the 3.0, but from what ive read, there weren't huge changrs made. I'm bringing at least 2 pairs to my april race and will probably be wearing one pair to my race in 3 weeks, so I'd have to say I think they'd do well. I have the superior too, but the Loan Peak is sturdier and has more cushion. I'll probably be…
-
Good planning. I never set my goal for what I think I'll do. I set it for what I think I can do for sure. For me the next two month's goals are totally just to put something out there. I have no actual mileage goals.
-
@7lenny7 yeah, same dropout rate.... but I had warmer weather. You did great.
-
I've been running in Altra Loan Peaks, when I want more cushion than my Superiors offer. The Loan Peak is a great shoe and 0 drop is awesome. I'm slowly trying to get all of my shoes to 0 drop.
