Good advice. I've found from traveling around that not all CrossFit gyms are created equally. I still believe there are some good "boxes" out there, but use your brain as MD says to decide for yourself. Too much of a good thing, probably means it's not a good thing...I no longer spend any of my dollars on gym memberships.…

I am going to eliminate an L-glutamine supplement that contains sucralose. :-( There I stated it....!

I didn't follow this exactly cuz I misread it, but it was still all good! I did 5x5min in HR-Z4, with 2min active recovery at about plus or minus 2 heartbeats of my VO2 max. Power output was fairly steady thru all 5 rounds with just a slight drop-off the last 2. Not sure I could have done a sixth, I'll take it, that's…

I was talking with one of the guys I work with this morning about some of these WODS... he gave a classic response I had to share, "Those are PRISON YARD workouts!!!" LMFAO!!

MD...I remember, I'm just trying to hold that suffering close to the vest... my calves were fried... Good advice on the sled-push DJ, stay ultra low!!!

For core strength I include these ones, flutter kicks, L-sits, Russian Twist with a light dumbbell, Planks, side planks with a swinging gate, and deadbugs, plus lots of hip extensions(single and double leg). I've noticed the hip extensions really help to stretch the quads, a nice plus for someone who pedals a lot. I agree…

That was a gnarly little demon WOD. That reminded me of those "cash-outs" from days gone by...I did it with a 53lb. bell and that's a *kitten* ton of goblet squats at that weight! Yikes!
-
I gonna give this a shot with the Goblet Squats...DJ, I like the stair run option, you could then do this outside with minimal equipment....

Ego Depletion...Luv!! Lot's of good stuff in here, from self control, getting out of our comfort zones, to toughen up phreaks so you can survive a "c@%kpunch!" Enjoy the day!!

Going Mobile!!!! Luv it!!! I never realized just how "tight" I was until I committed to disciplined stretching!!

I really like this post, I absolutely dread interval days. Because I know if I do my best I'll be either dry heaving, puking, or lying in a ditch!! LOL! The mental preparation and self-talk to get through those workouts is really the only thing that gets me through those workouts...the physical part is the easiest part.…

I'm a social outcast at work because I don't partake in their ritual eating ceremonies...But I don't care, it's my choice.

This is an amazing video. Everything gets transformed (that's those tricky arrow thingy's)...Awesome!!! "If they don't know this, are you going to trust anything else they say..." I love that!

I suppose training for endurance mountain biking puts you firmly in this camp. But working with a coach last year I incorporated 3 days a week dedicated to strength and functional fitness. The routines she had me do were quite interesting, but effective. For instance, one workout was, deadlifts immediately followed by 1…
