well, its been a few days and the work week has been a tough one. Still feeling defeated and not very motivated. I got delivery of my new treadmill last night so I am excited to start running at home again vs going back and forth to the gym. tonight will be my first use! @Ahanaz thanks for the encouraging words on my last…

Measuring my mental strength... For this latest attempt at losing weight I have really been trying to focus more on my mental state of mind. As a behavioral and emotional eater I realize I really need to focus on my mental state more so than my food and exercise. As such I have been specifically focused on self esteem…

I've always taken the before photos and never any after. So in the spirit of vulnerability here is my progress... Left: June 26, 240# Right: Aug 26, 226# Lots more to go but trying to also keep perspective and not focus on my latest 3 pound gain...

Well there it is... defeat... 3 pound gain this week despite 5 7 mile days on the treadmill. My diet wasn't as good, I kinda felt like I was eating more, though all healthy stuff. Feeling pissed off and frustrated this morning. I will get back on the treadmill today and push forward but I will be bitter about it. Really…

@jessicakrall8 I also gave up diet soda. Diet soda by far is the hardest habit to kick. Been drinking water and black coffee only for over a month and I still crave diet soda like a crack addict. I’m determined to kick the habit though. For me, I am convinced, the artificial sweeteners make me crave real sweets more and…

I feel you! I sit all day for my job too and I am none-to-interested to get on the "standing desk" bandwagon, sounds awful to me. I've done a few things to help - always park at the furthest parking spot from the front door (work, grocery store, everywhere). Sure sometimes it's hot out or the weather is bad but I always…

Not sure what types of music everyone listens to here but I feel like I have somewhat of a theme song for my current efforts in weight loss. Numb - Linkin Park Not a new song by any means but a great workout jam. In the lyrics I have interpreted “You” as old, fat, self sabotaging me and “Me/I” as new healthy getting…

Hi everyone, I'm new here and sorry for not introducing myself earlier its been a crazy few weeks... A bit about me: 46yo 5’10” male, looking to lose weight for good, the goal would be 170-180# range. I have been fat all my life, beginning in middle school I have always been over 200#. I have never been a jock or sports…
